"This is the only pizza place I can recommend in Valpo if you're looking for NY Style pizza. First of all, the family is FROM NY. We spoke to the owners family while we were there one time and they gave us a great history lesson. Everyone is extremely friendly and they have a nice little arcade area my son loves. It's not over the top loud, it's a nice relaxing atmosphere. The fried pickles and mozzarella sticks are delicious, I've had their cheese and pepperoni pizza and I like them both well done. Everyone in Valpo and surrounding area should try them at least once. We got a large cheese pizza, with an order of pickles and mozz sticks for $40 for 2 adults and 2 children, we had enough left over to take home."
"Just left there from having lunch with my daughter and was happy. We got the 2 slice lunch special and the pizza was hot and fresh and reminded me of a good east coast slice. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was spotless. I will be returning."
"We love Shoe's Pizza, whether dine in or carry out. The servers are awesome and the food was hot and timely. But the atmosphere was a challenge this particular event as there were children running around screaming while we attempted to reconnect with friends we haven't seen in 6 months. We'll come back, but hopefully to a calmer room."
"The pizza was excellent! On Wednesday, we tried Shoe's for the first time. We got a sausage, onion & green pepper pizza. We doubt that there's a better pizza out there! We will now be customers for life! We got take-out, and it was still nice & hot when we got it home."
"Shoes is one of the best pizza places in Valparaiso by far . The crust is amazing and they use great ingredients. My go to pizza is sausage and onion . The appetizers are awesome I tried the za rolls and they were good . The cheese bread was a little dried out but it was good when you dipped it in the sauce . I love the old school vibe they have going and the little arcade is awesome too"
