"I took my once in a lifetime elk in to be processed. Told them I wanted primarily steaks and roasts when I got my meat back there was only 4 roasts and 14 packs of meat that looked NOTHING like steaks but more like trimmings. This included both backstraps supposedly. Very disappointed in this company won't be using their services ever again and niether will any of my family"
"Dropped off a deer for processing and was having regular cuts and some specialty processing. The time frame I was given at the time I dropped the deer off was extended by the time I called to see how it was coming. I was told then that the hunter sticks and sausage wouldn't be done until feb or March. Had to argue with them on the phone to be able to pick up the meat they were supposed to be making sticks and sausage out of. Was charged 125 for processing then another 25 for the trim meat and only received 45 pounds of meat. Complete rip Off!!!! Terrible customer service"
"Was charged 188.70 for a processed dear. Was charged 64 dollars for 15lbs of beef to be added and my entire box of processed deer, the weight a total of 64.3 lbs. So my huge 6 point buck dressed out at 165, I got 49.3lbs of meet??? minus the 15 of added beef. The tenderloin was one 6 inch piece, so Im sure I was looked as a non resident and they kept some of my meat, or misplaced a whole box. Charged me 25.00 for next day service I never asked for, I brought in the 16th drove 40 min. to go there and 40 min. back to camp.and picked up the 18th and really could have kept their as I have friend that lives local. I never asked for next day service, but the staff charged me 25 for 2 days later. Don't use Dowkrer's Meat Market, in Gaylord, Michigan unless you want 1/2 your deer at double the price."
"Excellent processor and butchery. We've brought our deer here for years. We tried some other processors but none could even compare to the quality of sausage/jerky/ect, and he doesn't try to skim off the top. A little pricey but absolutely worth it."
