A friend introduced to Randall, a hair artist at Betty Green Salon, by accompanying a friend to his hair appointment with her. Randall and I instantly connected over art and future goals. I booked my appointment that day. Randall nourished my hair through a cut and color, creating a look that expressed my personality. She also educated me about my hair so I could get more out of my newly curated style on my own. While Randall was the highlight, the experience occurred at a warm, welcoming salon. Betty Green Salon’s ethos is intriguing. The salon supports its stylists by cultivating living wages for them and uses earth-friendly practices and products in a studio that feels more like a home.
