"The best spooky, gothic coffee shop. The atmosphere and vibe alone in this space is enough to make me go almost everyday they’re open. Such a nice addition to downtown monroe, I don’t drink coffee and they have so many good options. Whether taking to go or sitting in to chill and do homework, this is my favorite spot. The Chi Tea Latte is my absolute favorite. Can’t say enough good things about this place and its owners!"

"I’ve been twice now and plan to come back often! I come out from the woodhaven area to enjoy this place! My exact vibe, love the atmosphere. The sleepy hollow moon milk and the hot vanilla bean espresso latte are my favorites so far! Unique and perfect atmosphere. My only wish would be more seating if they could somehow expand/open up the “venue” area they have in the second room, to have more quiet space. The staff is super helpful and kind. I love the dishes and glasses as well! Haven’t tried their pastries yet but they look delicious. I wish they had a flight option so you could try a bunch of things at once lol. Can’t wait to visit again!"

"Nocturnal is exactly what we need in the area. A coffee shop with some personality. The coffee and drinks are great. The atmosphere is so inviting that you just want to unwind and relax. The staff are warm and welcoming and are clearly excited to be here. I can see Nocturnal becoming a “must stop” for my family and friends. And if you don’t know what to try, the Sleepy Hollow Moon Milk is absolute perfection!"

"Such an awesome addition to our town and beyond! Nocturnal catches your attention from the outside, and stepping inside brings such an awe. The attention to detail is superb, and everywhere you look there is something that adds to the aesthetic. It feels cozy and warming all at once, with just enough of a dark side to capture your spirit. Once you reach the counter, a friendly, knowledgeable person can help with any questions you have about the menu. For me, I was beyond ecstatic to see caffeine free options at a coffee shop. With limited options due to dietary and allergy needs, I found myself facing options of things I could have. This delighted me beyond belief as it’s such a rare occurrence. Things are fresh made, and again that attention to detail more than pays off. My husband enjoyed grabbing a coffee, and I enjoyed a Midnight Dreary during their opening event. The blueberries and blackberries brought together made a mouth happy, and I’m looking forward to trying a Moon Milk option in the future. I also can’t let it be missed that they have libraries, both for adults and kids, loaded with books to wander through. Whether you’re looking for a space to read and relax, or space to visit and enjoy conversation, there is space for everyone. The menu is also inclusive and welcoming, with thoughtful options for so many. Welcome to Monroe."

"Stopped in during a recent visit to Monroe. What a fantastic addition to the downtown area. This place was sorely needed. It's so nice to have a place to hang out and socialize at night that isn't a bar. The coffee is really great too. We had a cinnamon honey latte and Sleepy Hollow moon milk. Both were fantastic. The latte was probably some of the best coffee I've had anywhere in a while. The interior is very eclectic and the staff is super friendly. The place was pretty packed when we visited, but our coffee came out pretty quickly. Support this place."
