"I am a BIG supporter of independent small businesses getting it right. Food was made from quality products. Lettuces & other produce were fresh AND small batch (assumption based on quality). After reading reviews, I'm sad I didn't try the French onion soup. However! We did have the club sandwich, a chicken wrap, fries & side salad. All of which were plentiful and tasty. Thank you. Staff was a bit too "classic diner" for the desired atmosphere & price. Hence the 4 star. It's probably an age thing. I thought the dining room was a bit too dark, which is the reason for that 4 star. I'll be back! Thank you for the meal."

"Our experience wasn't anything great. Only 2 employees we seen, one was sitting other was running bar, taking orders, cashing out customers, serving food, and tending bar. I understand she was busy, but ... Especially for the overpriced food and it was lunch time. Each time she came to take our order, she just rudely went to other guest she knew and forgot about us. She called them by name and served them before finishing our order. We were getting ready to leave, she did get our order. Hour later we still didn't have food. Once we received our ToGo order, checking our bag. Open face beef had spilled in the bag, paper tore and was mixed in the food. French onion soup, very small cup for price. Burger deffently wasn't worth it's cost. Beef extremely peppery, I couldn't eat it and my husband ate what he could. Now mind you there we're a total of 15 customers, 7 had already been served, so no excuse. Overall, some may be ok with those high prices and small portions, I am not. The best part was the interior itself. Tried something new, didn't work out for us on our date day. Husbands a truck driver, so what time we get, try new places. This was a bust for us."

"Growing up, this place was known for the best food in Monroe. Not anymore. MB&G wants to be fine dining with paper menus and dim lighting. It's nothing more than overpriced, cheap bar food. Thankfully, we now have more dinner options in Monroe. The only way I would come back is if someone else was buying."

"I really wanted to like this place. The reviews were good, and a friend of mine told Prime rib wad great. Unfortunately, not much worked out for me. Unfortunately, the theme of the evening was no temperature. The chili and French onion soup tasted good, but they were warm at best. My filet mignon was still mooing, when I asked for medium. The steak was not even hot cause the butter never melted. Prime rib was over cooked and chewy, asked medium on that. There was zero pink in the prime rib. The server never came back and asked how the meal was after she dropped it off.The green beans were a little bland. The baked potato was spectacular. Even deserts were only ok. For the amount of money spent,I WAS HOPING FOR A LOT BETTER!."
