"Convenient if you are enjoying Manistee Lake. We had a hard time getting gas while towing our boat, due to the way the parking lot was set up. Went in first for bait and they were all out. Even with our troubles it seems like a good place for people if they are camping, fishing or hunting in the area."
"Very interesting place, definitely worth checking out if you're in town. Decent selection of gear for fishing, hunting, and more. The folks are pretty nice and even pointed out some good fishing spots on Lake Bellaire which got me some pike. If you are there for fishing gear, do not buy the leaders. I bought both packs of leaders available and they consistently failed me. I lost over 40 dollars worth of lures due to the leaders breaking, snapping, or opening on their own."
"We got all the way to the trailhead for a day of wheeling and realized my hiking boots didn't make it into the truck. Oops. Thank goodness we were just a few miles away from Kalkaska and this store was open very early in the morning. I was greeted by adorable chocolate & black labs who helped me every step of the way. 12/10 stars for the canine employees. They deserve a raise! The staff was very helpful. It took less than 10 minutes to find great quality, great fitting boots in my size. I'm the smallest size on women's sizing so there wasn't a lot in stock to choose from, but the pair I ended up with was on clearance because it was a winter boot. So I'll be hot today but at least I'll get use out of them in the winter months and this stupid mistake of leaving my hiking boots in the driveway at home was not a total waste."
