We knew Eddie had a sweet temperament but it was hidden by some difficult behavior at home—constant barking and growling at people or dogs walking by, pulling during walks, etc. Meghan was able to address his anxiety—and importantly, teach us how to interact with and guide Eddie. We were recently able to take him on a long distance road trip for a few weeks that involved hotels, new places, and new people and other dogs. "We are forever grateful for the time Maxwell had with Meghan at Beacon Bay Dog Training! Before sending Maxwell off to live with Meghan for awhile, we were seeing a lot of poor behavior including non-stop barking at neighbors, growling, being territorial of our house/property, constantly pulling on his leash during walks, and we even had a couple incidents of biting. I did fear sending Maxwell off that he would come back with a different personality or not be his happy, energetic Aussie self, but this was not the case! He came back more disciplined, calm, and confident in following the rules. He still has his wild energetic Aussie personality, which we love so much :) During the follow-up trainings, Meghan was thorough in helping us understand her training techniques and met us in a variety of different settings to practice our new skills with Maxwell. Meghan was always available either via phone or email to answer questions and give us updates on how Max was doing while he was in her care. We couldn't be MORE thrilled with the outcomes we got with Max. He has been out of training for over 5 months now, and we are still seeing success with Max. We recently were able to cut/trim his nails on our own at home, which we would never have been able to do 5-6 months ago. Thank you to Meghan for all she did for Maxwell and our family! "We are honestly so pleased and impressed with our pup after her time with Meghan. We have two family members who have used Meghan for their dogs, so we had an idea as to how well the program worked, but we're thrilled to see the changes in our own girl. We could hardly leave the yard due to extreme anxiety and uncontrollable pulling, and now we're taking 3 walks a day that are enjoyable for her and us! She fine-tuned her around the house manners and managed to master doorways and staying where told for extended periods of time even while we wander the house (inconceivable before Meghan). "We enrolled our 7 month old Springer Spaniel in Meghan's Fresh Start Stay and Train program. While we have had lots of experience with dogs, we were hoping to finally have one trained not to jump up on people or counter surf. A big part of the program is also community exposure, which was important to us. After spending time with Meghan, we could immediately tell a difference in Spruce's behavior. Now we are learning how to get the behaviors we want from him, and he is becoming the well behaved Springer we desired. Meghan is very accessible, easy to work with, and truly cares about the dogs.
