Beaumont Ob/Gyn Generalists - Royal Oak

"Speaking specifically of DR. FRANZ - incredibly negligent. I went back and forth multiple times being declared "high risk" because Dr. Franz refused to adjust my son's due date - I knew the exact day I got pregnant, yet that information wasn't good enough for her. She finally adjusted my due date at 8 months, likely because I had finally started seeing other doctors at this office and I had been insisting to them that my due date was incorrect. Being led to believe my baby was at high risk, even being told by Dr. Franz at one point that he likely WOULDN'T LIVE, caused IMMENSE UNDUE STRESS that I'm sure any other professional would tell you negatively impacts the baby's growth and development. I also opted to have genetic testing done that was dependent on my son's due date - the results of which became null and void because of Dr. Franz' refusal to change my date to the correct one. Additionally, I had a history of major depression prior to my pregnancy and I was depressed throughout the entirety of my pregnancy. I voiced my concerns for my mental health (and how it was affecting my partner's) to Dr. Franz CONTINUOUSLY, I mean every single appointment, and repeatedly requested medication. Dr. Franz was incredibly condescending whenever I asked for medication to help with my depression, telling me that what I was experiencing was entirely normal. Finally, when I was 8 months along, she seemed to yield to my demands for anti-depressants, but added that it was now likely too late anyway - the meds wouldn't even begin to work until after the baby was born. To add insult to injury, she lied on my chart - noting that my "mood is okay" and that I "denied medication". I was led to believe an induction was the safest option. The labor and delivery nurses were fantastic. But after 40 hours of failed pitocin-induced labor, I was rushed to the OR for an emergency c-section to save my life and my son's life. Dr Kaur was the one who conducted my c-section.. and she left the room multiple times to tend to another patient. After the surgery, while in the maternity ward, a nurse came in with two doctors. I'm not even sure if Dr. Kaur was one of the doctors because the nurse ushered me into the bathroom to change my dressings. I told this nurse I wanted to hear what the doctors were saying, to which she completely ignored me. Without my consent and despite my objection, these doctors spoke to my partner at the time, whom I wasn't even married to, about my procedure, effectively violating HIPPA. I am never having another baby at any Beaumont location or affiliated medical facility, nor will I ever recommend anyone else."

"The nursing staff here is the absolute worst. They aren't just rude, they're mean. The doctors and the front desk staff are actually quite nice but it's not worth coming here because you are forced to deal with the appalling nursing staff. Find literally anywhere else. Wouldn't even use this place a last resort option."

"Staff is very rude and disrespectful. Insensitive to patient’s needs and discomfort. If a Muslim woman refuses a pelvic exam because the main doctor attending is a male and he has to show the residents how to conduct the exam, that is not an issue of the woman. We can definitely find clinics where they respect that for the female and we have. avoid visiting this clinic as best as you can, they are highly inconsiderate and have the most hostile demeanors"

"Physicians are very rude and inconsiderate. The way they speak to you is just beyond unacceptable. Oh and don’t get me started on how unorganized the office is. Had to find a new doctor IMMEDIATELY. If you are pregnant please avoid this clinic and save yourself a headache."

"This office extremely disappointed me. The staff was very unprofessional. One staff member actually threatened me and was attempting to intimidate me. Mind I tell you, at the time I was 33 weeks pregnant. I was escorted out buy 2 security guards and a dog all while being pregnant. I was embarrassed and was never seen that day. Put me in jeopardy of health issues, stress and other things that were not checked because I missed the appointment. I attempted to reach my doctor via my chart the app for communication with medical professionals. The doctor never reached out to me never checked on me and never answered back. I was forced to bother my pcp to get medical attention. She then took me off of work for 2 days for stress related issues. I was born a Beaumont and so was my daughter and now my son. I've never been dissatisfied with service until now. As of now I'm 35 weeks pregnant and was discharged as a patient from this clinic. Leaving me to search for new doctor this late in my pregnancy. The worst!"
