"Most people dread going to their obgyn, but Dr. Sessoms is so kind, helpful, respectful, and understanding, that I always feel at ease in her office. I have never felt embarassed to ask her anything and she takes her time to listen and answer. She is also very respectful of my LGBT+ identity. Thank you for everything Dr. Sessoms!"

"Best OB/GYN ever. Her partner, Dr. Ellison & the team have been truly life changing for me. I was super nervous about going into surgery but with Super Doctors like this team, I was relaxed and had 101% faith in all of them. I really appreciate the time they all have taken to listen to me & help me get to where I need to be. I'm a patient for life with these wonderful doctors! #TeamSessoms"

"Called the office concerned (twice in 3 weeks) I was having no symptoms and spotting. The first call was at 7 weeks and I had already had betas done two weeks earlier and was told they looked great. I was told to go to the ER if the bleeding became heavy. The second call was because they had to move my appointment out because of covid cases in the office, totally understand. I let them know I was still concerned because I had zero symptoms and was still spotting. I was then told I should be grateful for not having any symptoms and if I was concerned I could go to the ER but the nurse would not ask the doctor to order an ultrasound because "we don't know how far along you are", but isn't that the entire point of an ultrasound? I didn't feel it was appropriate to go to the ER seeing as I was not (by definition) in an emergency situation. I did find a new office that got me in immediately for an ultrasound and unfortunately I was right to be concerned. I was supposed to be 10 weeks according to my last period and there was no baby. Only a yolk sac. It was devastating to see that. I had known something was wrong and it felt like my concerns were ignored. I strongly suggest this office rethinks their protocols and their very hurtful responses to women who are concerned about their pregnancy. Women should not be dismissed with a simple "if you're concerned you can go the ER" or "you should be grateful you have no symptoms". However, I am beyond grateful to have found an amazing team of midwives and doctors who have been with me every single step of the way through this miscarriage. This office and Beaumont- you need to do so much better."

"I had vaginal bleeding after menopause and Dr. Sessoms was very kind and patient with me. She explained the surgical procedure to me, gave me a follow up on my results and everything worked out well. I’ve been going to this office since Dr. Butto delivered my sons who are now teenagers. I feel bad for anyone who feels they had a bad experience but my experiences have only been great so far with my yearly exams and maintenance."
