"I was traveling on military orders and called ahead to switch my hotel last minute because of a flight delay and snow storm that prevented me from reaching the hotel I originally intended. I also explained (on the phone ahead of time) the situation related to my declined government travel card, and I was told that I could solve the issue when I arrived at the hotel. Instead of telling me ahead of time that they were cancelling my reservation, the hotel staff member waited until I arrived 45 minutes later (after traveling out of my way) to tell me that my "reservation was declined by management" because I attempted to use an official government payment option, even though I offered alternative payment using other cards that would have been quite normal. So after midnight I was forced to continue traveling in the snow storm in search of another hotel. I had wasted my time and effort travelling for no good reason because the hotel declined my stay even though they told me I had a reservation on the phone. Management had plenty of opportunity to verify the legitimacy of my military travel and payment options but instead forced me to continue traveling sleep deprived in a snow storm late at night."

"I booked this property looking at hot tub because we will reach there after long drive and fully tired so hot tub will be really necessary to relax and while checking In we observed hot tub was under maintenance and also swimming pool was not warm and not good, room pillow covers were dirty I covered it with a towel slept on it…I was totally frustrated.. the person in the reception was the only positive in that property. And overall not worthy for $208 this was my first booking in US with Expedia I called them for support…. All I got in return was sorry…which is more frustrating… I spent lot of time in booking this property only reason was hot tub even that turned out to be negative thanks to Expedia for giving this wonderful first time experiance to me"

"5 stars. Nothing to really complain. Location is kalkaska so if you dont mind the commute to traverse or if youre in the area its pretty good. Never have had a negative experience with any of the staff. Rooms a pretty good. Very comfortable. And always clean. One room we stayed in did smell like cigarettes but it faded over time. Everything you need and expect from a 2 star hotel. One of the best 2 star hotels!"

"The hotel was old and dirty (big stains on carpet everywhere). Rooms were not clean (we had 3 families in 3 rooms). Outside is very nice but next plaza has two cannabis places (you can smell). Breakfast was poor and not organized properly. It was friendly environment and not noisy."
