"Gary was very kind however the rooms are crawling with cockroaches. We were given our 1st key and seen cockroaches within 5 min. Gary offered room 11 saying he's sure this one don't have bugs and within 2 min we see a roach run across the bathroom floor. I requested a full refund and took my business elsewhere."

"Nice quaint, rustic motel. The rooms are clean. Endless hot water supply. Prices are excellent and affordable. They offer weekly rates. They have a firepit, swing set and a grill for guest use. Stayed 2 weeks and loved it. Highly recommend if you're looking to get away from the big city life. Loved the retro look of the rooms."

"I stayed with Pine River for over 5 years. Now the owners know who I am. They treated me like family. Even when I was at my lowest they always showed concern. They did things for the people who stayed there that I know for a FACT no other facility would do. I could not afford to live anywhere else rent was just too high to rent an apartment and a home. But my health declined so I had to move back down state. But if allowed I would not stay anywhere else in Cheboygan Michigan. Great Thanksgiving. Thanks Gary and wife."
