Fleetwood Inn & Suites

"Place needs ALOT of tlc. Cheap enough to stay here and no signs of bed bugs. The sign is faded. The exterior looks old. Inside needs a complete paint job and I mean scrape the walls down and redo it. No breakfast of any sorts besides a "coffee bar". The place could seriously be a 4 or 5 star hotel if they just took that empty parking lot and put in some on site perks."

"If you visit Cheboygan, don’t pass up Fleetwood Inn. The place next door was just shy of $200, I booked Fleetwood Inn though and app and paid around $85 for the night. I checked in, in literally 2 minutes, and in my room quickly. As pictured, my room was pretty nice and a real nice view of the river. What a great value!"

"We stayed recently for one night. The front desk person/owner was very nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Perfect location on the river. I actually left my keys there and he found them and mailed them back to me."

"We absolutely loved our stay here. We were here for 4 days to do some boating. Every room has a beautiful river view balcony with easy pull in docks to rent for the boat, which was right outside our door. The owner was very nice and always went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. And all at a very reasonable price. The rooms were clean and fairly updated, and I could see that they were making upgrades all over the property. Not fancy. No continental breakfast, just coffee, vending machines, and ice. Oh..one more thing. As tempting as it may be because it's right at the end of the property, DO NOT EAT AT BIG BOY! worst food and service, just horrible."

"Room rates are sky high this time of year in northern Michigan. I am just not willing to pay $300+ for a room. This place did the job but is a definite two star hotel. Great for boaters with the docks and ample rig parking. Great location along the river and away from the road. There’s new carpeting in hallway and rooms, and perhaps a fresh coat of paint. The owners are trying but this place needs investment and attention to cleanliness detail. The tile floors were clean, but there’s cobwebs in the corners of the room. The linens are old. Popcorn ceilings. Fridge with freezer, bad in room coffee but there’s a Keurig in the lobby. AC wall unit is loud and does not remove the humidity. Upside is that it drowns out the sound of neighbors with the exception of the elephant who was above us. Bed is a little soft (foam?) but could be worst. My room rate was expensive-but-fairly- reasonable given the season. I booked through Expedia. Guy at desk called me out of concern since we hadn’t checked in around 6. Nice touch. Great recreation around Cheboygan, including cycling and boating. Pretty park at the mouth of the river. Several decent restaurants in town. See my reviews for Mulligans and Alice’s Restaurant.
