"If you want a taste of northwoods lake life this is the place. Vintage cabins on the water some include a pontoon. The owners are more than accommodating. Relax, fish, birdwatching or travel to the areas many attractions. Our cabin was on the mainland and made our outbound travel was easy. Having the pontoon completed the experience."

"My husband and I stayed in cabin 11 on the island and had rented a pontoon. While the cabins are very dated, they were pretty clean and didn't stink. There were a lot of spiders but that's expected in the woods. We had some issues with our pontoon but Dean was quick to remedy the situation and very helpful, altogether! We would absolutely come back, the VHS collection and vintage kitchenware took me back to my childhood in a way I'd love to share with my kids! The first day we were there it was really hot, even with all the windows open and fans going so that's something to consider if going there during the hot and humid months. The next nights were a lot cooler, unexpectedly, but thankfully our cabin had a well running heater and the fireplace was a nice little touch. We didn't use the facilities on the island but we walked around to take a look. It was definitely a blast from the past, everything is vintage but in well working order and clean! We didn't see much of the mainland area of the resort, but was happily greeted by the loving pup, Tucker when we came into the office."

"We stayed at cabin 14 on the mainland with other family members staying at 15 which was nearby. These two cabins are away from the rest, surrounded by privately owned properties. We liked this spot. Owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Only 4 stars because the cabins could use a little updating. Their condition didn't bother me as much as some other reviewers, but a little could go a long way. Also bummed camp fires weren't allowed, but I can understand why considering the dense pine forests surrounding the cabins. I'd still stay here again"

"Stayed in cabin 14. One word describes the unit...Vintage. We enjoyed being separated from the main resort. The furnishings were from the 70's. Carpet was overdue for replacement. Boat and motor were from the 60's. The dock had broken loose from its support leaving it at a 45 degree angle. A little tough for getting in and out of the boat or for fishing from the dock. Be prepared to vacuum the cabin before you leave. Also haul your garbage to the main resort and sort your recycle items into the proper bins."

"Stay on the island it’s much nicer. Clean rustic cabins have what you need. Pontoon anchor doesn’t hold up. Given we fished all week this was important. Fishing wasn’t great but weather was great."
