"The absolute worst hotel and staff! Upon arrival, my wife and I were met at the front desk by the most unprofessional receptionist we've ever come upon. If this elderly woman isn't the owner, she should be let go. If she's the owner, she's in desperate need of brushing up on her people skills. While checking in, she felt the need to tell the person checking us in, a story about one of her less fortunate family members and droned on about it for what seemed like 15 minutes until the gal checking us in interrupted her to complete our check in process. The next time we encountered her was when we asked a question about a power outage they were experiencing, all we received from her was a loud flurry of words we couldn't understand. Upon check out, she wasn't at her post, so we lucked out and dropped our keys in the drop box along with everyone else, waiting to receive a receipt in the lobby. Breakfast was practicly nonexistent, even for a continental breakfast. This place put absolutely no effort into replenishing even the little scraps of breakfast they originally set out. The beds were about as hard and uncomfortable as they come. Upon trying to shower, honestly, I don't think they could wrap a smaller piece of soap (sliver really) in a package that you're supposed to use while showering. We ended up paying $243.00 a night (nearly twice the advertised price) after they added all their internal hotel fees and local hotel taxes. Ridiculous! Needless to say, we won't be back to patronize the Days Inn by Wyndham in Eagle River, Ever! Darryl & Christy"

"Stayed there a while ago. Everything was fine. Glad it was close to the track. All other amenities in town were good. People very friendly and helpful. Will stay again!"

"Room was ok. Bed was fine. I am glad I brought a power strip to plug in phones. Breakfast was usual fare. Overall it was OK. We would go back if all the other places were full."

"Stay here regularly for business and leisure traveling. Love the location the room was cleaned. But last 2 visits, the frint desk clerk handed me the key and said my room number out loud. I was really taken back by this do to security reason. Luckily they were both leisure trip so my husband was with me. This could be dangerous if I was on a business trip and traveling alone. Not to mention yoi do not need a keycard to get inside the hotel."

"For $240 a night with appliances from 1981, a strong smoke smell despite no smoking policy, and pets from others jumping all over you, this place is highway robbery. Definitely not worth spending so much. Other key notes: cups in cafe for breakfast had gross foreign pieces in them. We overheard the housekeepers saying "if it looks like it wasn't used, you don't have to clean it", while inside one of the rooms they were cleaning. The side doors are never locked either, so anyone from outside can come in at all hours, including those without a reservation."
