About the Business
Michigan Ballet Academy, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is dedicated to providing world-class ballet training to students of all ages. Our professionally trained faculty teaches a codified curriculum in an atmosphere of creativity, challenge, encouragement, and integrity. We strive to enrich the lives of children and adults through the beauty and discipline of classical ballet.
Our unique pedagogy combines elements of Russian rigor, French lyricism, and Italian athleticism. Students from all over West Michigan are drawn to our institution for our systematized training approach and diverse course offerings.
Michigan Ballet Academy offers students the opportunity to participate in professionally produced productions, including the annual Nutcracker performance which attracts over 2,000 attendees. Our recent productions have included classic ballets such as Cinderella, Coppelia, and La Fille mal Gardee.
In addition to our structured programs, we offer classes for students as young as 3 years old. Our Creative Movement program focuses on body awareness, musicality, and coordination, while our Pre-Ballet program for ages 5-8 strengthens academic concepts through dance.
Join us for Master Class Weekends and summer camps, such as Fairy Tale Ballet Camp and Dance Explorer Camp, where students can explore various dance styles and ignite their imaginations.
Our studio is conveniently located in the Grand Rapids-Ada-Forest Hills area, easily accessible from I-96. We are supported by the MICHIGAN ARTS AND CULTURE COUNCIL and the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS. Experience the beauty and grace of ballet at Michigan Ballet Academy.
