"The Doctor was extremely tentative to my kittens needs. He was very caring and handed my kitten with care and compassion. He told me what I needed and how to do what I needed to do, my kitty is now on the road to recovery. Thank you Doctor Seifert."

"I've taken my pug to Town & Country Vet since his very first check up (he is now almost 12 years old). They were highly recommended, and we didn't seem to have any issues until the last couple of weeks. He developed a small tumor on his eyelid that needed to be removed. He went in for surgery Mon 5/8, was told everything went smoothly. Went back in Thurs 5/11 for his post-op exam, everything was healing great. By Sun 5/14 he woke up coughing (like a high pitched honking/squeaking noise) and sneezing. Just not AT ALL like his usual spunky self. They do not offer any emergency services, so I called the ER vet in Mishawaka that they have on their answering machine. That vet said he needed to be looked at asap, that the symptoms sounded like kennel cough. I don't have the extra for emergency services, so we Waited until Mon 5/15 morning to see if we could get squeezed in. Thankfully we did get in right away, but after about 3 mins of listening to him cough, the Dr said "oh that seems like allergies. Just give him benadryl 3 times a day." I expressed my concern about kennel cough, and he CHUCKLED and told me that "no one else was showing symptoms at the time he was in the kennel, so that's not possible." So we gave him the benadryl. Monday thru Wednesday, there was no change except for more sleeping and less eating. Called them back, and was told to continue the benadryl... My husband and I decided to get a 2nd opinion at another vet that's a little closer to home, and within 5 minutes of being with a new Dr, I was told "Your assumptions are definitely correct. He most definitely has kennel cough." Then she asked me why we weren't offered the preventative vaccine before going in for surgery... On of that, I asked the Dr at T&C to check out his ears because I thought they might be infected. He never even looked. Our new Dr confirmed the infections as well... There's a few other small things we were told by T&C (regarding allergies and itching) throughout the years that I wanted to confirm with this new Dr, and she said without any legitimate allergy testing, there's just no way to be certain, but T&C NEVER did ANY testing. I was given a hand written list of common allergens and was told to stay away from them... When I think about the whole situation, I just want to warn people. My dog was just in there coughing ALL OVER THE PLACE, possibly infecting anyone else that walked in there... I'm sure I'm not the only one that looks at my dog like he's my child, and he was forced to suffer thru the last week. Please don't get me wrong, the Dr his wife, and their assistants were always very nice to us, I'm just concerned about the Dr being so quick to dismiss serious concerns."
