"My son usually goes here and they are great however, not for me. Went through the trouble of verifying my insurance. Told me i was all set. Calls me day before and says they canceled my appointment because this insurance gives them issues. What about my son he will have this insurance? Well he's fine because he is existing I was going for blood pressure, sure hope I don't have a stroke. This appointment should've never been made on the 1st"

"Edit to add the new office staff is amazing. All smiling faces and eager to help. Dr. Azom is truly a breath of fresh air. She was so positive and kind and I didn't feel rushed or nervous like I usually do when meeting a doc for the first time. So glad I found her."

"Dr office is weeks out!!! They continue to call 24 hours before an appointment to let me know what is needed. Now I have to fix the issue and reschedule my daughter another appointment which will take another 30 days. This is the second time this has happen. They never try to accommodate or assist."

"I was transferred to this location and started seeing Dr. Thornton after Dr. Slaim retired. Although, I think Dr. Thornton has been great, I cannot deal with cancelled appointment, overbooking, and back to back rescheduling. Beaumont (now Corewell Health) has an appointment system in place which "should" be blocking times off for the patient but I am guessing that is not happening at this location. First appointment issue: My appointment was canceled the week of my appointment. Mind you, I had scheduled this appointment weeks out. Anyway, I rescheduled for a couple of weeks out. Second appointment issue: As I am walking out the door to go to the rescheduled appointment, I get call from the office telling me that they are now overbooked. They actually waited less than an hour before my appointment to tell me they are overbooked. I explained that this is the SECOND time they had tampered with my appointment and that they shouldn't be overbooked IF there is an appointment system in place to block time slots. They offered up another doctor for me to see. I inquired why I should have to see another doctor when they were the ones that canceled my first appointment and now tampering with my second one. (Mind you this is another two weeks out from my originally canceled appointment.) I wanted to see MY doctor but they would not budge. So then I gave in and said I will see the other doctor since I was heading out the door. That's when I was told I would have to wait another HOUR to see the secondary doctor. Really?!? Just horrible!!! People schedule appointments for a reason. Additionally, they also changed the time of my husband's appointment next month but who's to say they won't reschedule him when the time comes and he is trying to work around his work schedule. I will add that someone did call me back from the location after they heard what had happened and said they would get me in to see Dr. Thornton the same day BUT it was still outside of the planned window and it didn't compensate for the aggravation of having been rescheduled, bumped from my time slot, and then offered a doctor that wasn't immediately available. In the end, although I really like Dr. Thornton, I cannot deal with such an unorganized facility and found us another doctor. If I can't see my doctor when I am scheduled, there is no need to stay with the medical facility."
