"I was admitted there over the Holidays, I had a couple good doctors after a couple of the nurses updated them and had them look closer into my chart and the paper I was carrying with me how I am supposed to be treated while under their care and that on call doctors at University of Michigan were available 24 hours a day even during the holidays because of my diagnosis. I had There was a neurologist who didn't even read my chart, just made a general diagnosis without reading why I was even there and almost sent me home. While another doctor and nurse was confused as to why he even said that. I had pretty good nurses. They even googled information to try and find out more of my diagnosis. One nurse noticed a doctor ordered my IV a certain way and didn't read the instructions I handed to them by U of M stating how my IVs were to be administered. A nurse noticed the doctor's weren't following protocol and said "I can't give you this, the instructions say you can't have this, I will be right back". She called the doctors at U of M to find out how my IV should be given because of the instructions I keep on my person. IVs administered any other way could harm me and potentially cause death or other dangerous side effects in my blood. I was given several prescriptions for additional testing when I checked out of the hospital and asked that I please make sure I make the appointments. I got a call from my insurance company stating they just approved a procedure, and I even called the office several times and couldn't get through. I couldn't get ahold of customer service or the servicing office. I've been hung up on by the automated system several times, customer service is clueless if you do get in touch with them and they send you back to the automated system which you have to call back several times to try and get to a section that wont hang up on you. Then the office sends an email through the portal saying we cancelled your appointment because we couldn't get an approval from the physician that ordered the procedure when I have the prescription in my possession and they said to bring it when I made the appointment. What a crock of manure! They are just incompetent. Beaumont Hospital use to be an amazing hospital but now I have to say I am scared of this place. I use to feel safe going to this hospital, I don't know if it is a safe place anymore."
