"I've been here a couple times now for eye exams since they are closer to where I work so it's more convenient, but after my last exam I will not be coming back. The service is very good, staff is kind. My problem is I feel this office is more money hungry every time I visit. I pay good money for my insurance coverage, and pay a copay at check in which is fine. When I checked in last time, they asked if I wanted to pay $30 for a picture of my eyes, which I feel should be included in my care as I did pay for the visit already and if it's such a great thing to have why do I have to pay more for this? I declined, but at the end of my visit I asked for my pupillary distance, which they said they can do for an additional $20 or $30 I can't remember exactly. Ridiculous, like I get you want me to buy glasses there but not everyone has extra money laying around. This didn't cost last time. Plus they don't even have a big selection of glasses. SO this led me to call Rx Optical in Ionia, and they were super kind and actually did my pupillary distance for free without even being their patient. Since they were so kind and helpful I actually bought some Coach glasses from them. I will continue to get my eye health care from them."

"This is the second year I have come to AEP in Lowell, and I really like coming here. Emily at the front desk is quite possibly one of the most cheerful people I have ever in my life met. Dr. Jackson is a great optometrist - he is incredibly knowledgeable but also personable. Griffen was also incredibly helpful during my glasses pick out time period, which to me, is the most stressful hour every year / other year or so for me. Great office. Great people. Was previously going to a place in Ada - was not a fan at all. AEP is much preferred."
