"I have just started to finish up my junior year here, and I just want to say I was not disappointed! I loved my teachers and it made me sad that one was retiring because of the school board's decision to make her a Teacher Aide. She was qualified to teach anything in the Direct Study field, but they chose to put her as a Teacher Aide after years and years of teaching science. Are you kidding me? Overall, my experience with GCHS has been great, though I do hope that for our future generations that this school becomes a better place for the students and teachers alike."

"I had a lot of fun playing football here and there are a lot of great teachers. My friends were great and the counselors seemed to really care about the students. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of rude teachers that either can't control a classroom or cannot teach a subject properly. They also recently laid off a lot of teachers the students loved and kept those they hated. Also the discipline system is a joke. If a fight happens the person who started it should be arrested not the person defending themselves."

"0/5. I would not recommend. Teacher would not let me go to the bathroom to change my tampon. Now I could die from TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome). Just stay away from here."

"Very few of the teachers actually care about the students, they just care about getting through all the tests they was told to give out in the alotted time. Also, The current bullying/fights precedure is to ARREST both teens, even if the one was laying there being beaten on, and Suspend both parties. And when I say arrest, there is always at least one cop car there at all times, just incase. The school only resently was remodeled, taking out the Asbestos and Mold ridden carpet and ceiling tiles. Do not send your children here. Seriously!"

"This school is completely unprofessional to say the least. Staff members don't do their job as far as bullying. It's like the school does nothing until there's a physical fight. This is a place where you're supposed to feel safe, I don't feel safe at this school. I've made the school staff aware of issues I have with other students, their response was basically that they are annoyed and don't really care. This school is dirty and very crowded. Drinking fountains don't work most of the time, there is no heating nor cooling, the lockers are broken and don't open and there is trash lying everywhere. I do understand this is a public building and there are bound to be some issues, but there is plenty of time to solve these issues. The teachers have no idea what they're doing most of the time. They just expect you to know what you're doing without being taught. A teacher in this school heard me by threatened by another student and did nothing about it. Overall, this school is NOT safe nor sanitary. Do not send your children here, this is a horrible school. *Also, gang activity occurs during school hours on school property and staff does nothing to stop this."
