It Takes a Village Academy

"I cannot recommend ITAVA more. We were at 2 different daycares before, we switched the first time because of logistics, and the second daycare we were at…I could tell something was just not right. My husband and I noticed an immediate change in my son when we switched to ITAVA, he was happier for sure, I regret not switching sooner. Their programs are great, they care for our kids. The staff/manager kept checking in with me about our second son when he was born 16 weeks early. I felt confident sending my son who had oxygen at one point and a feeding tube. They kept in communication with me and asked clarifying questions about his medical needs (Ms Tiffany and Ms Paige). They did such a great job, and I cannot express enough how much relief it gave me that they could care for him, especially with his needs. Now he’s in preschool (with Ms Kat and Ms Karen) and his teachers are helping him get the extra water he needs a day! My oldest is currently in the GSRP program and is thriving. He has made huge gains throughout the year, his teachers are more than o could’ve hoped for (Ms Ashely and Ms Tori) and definitely have worked with both of us to help my son. ITAVA uses an app to communicate which is awesome and helpful. They work with my schedule and changes. Ms Joann is always making sure everything is right from her end and ours. Ms Suzanne the owner has had a ton of experience in education which extends to the professionalism of the school. The care program in the morning allows us to get to work on time—Mr Chris and Mr John do a great job supporting them transitioning in the morning. You cannot go wrong with ITAVA, it’s definitely worth a tour! I searched this whole area for a while to find an alternative, and nothing was close in quality."

"please do not send your children here. My daughter only attended 4 days and each day she came back with scratches all on her face and a busted nose. when asked what happened we were told they were unsure. i asked to see the footage from the playground where the assumed it happened and was denied. when talking to the director about it she said and i quote “so what shes in daycare it happens”. which i partially agree, things do happen, but everyday she is coming home with scratches to her face and no one knows what happened or could give an explanation? save your child and money, dont go here."

"We love love love ITAVA! As a teacher myself I absolutely love the fact that it's not just a daycare that watches your child but they focus on learning and social and emotional development! I've seen so much growth in my daughter since she's started going to ITAVA! I love the relationship my child's formed with her teachers and classmates! It's truly a family feeling at ITAVA! I couldn't recommend them enough!"

"It’s sad to say that my child was stripped out of her learning here at It Takes a Village Academy learning center at the GSRP program. My child has attended this program since September. I paid $1300 off in afterschool care for my child and owe $200. The afterschool program is ran through It takes a village but the GSRP program is ran through the state. I was informed that just because I owe a balance of $200 that my child can no longer come to the GSRP program. The problem is the GSRP program is ran through the government for free for kid 4 years old. I owe the daycare and not the GSRP program. They literally kicked my child out 2 weeks before her last day of the program. This has caused my child to be traumatized and distraught. My child didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to her classmates or her teachers. This program was meant to uplift the kids and make learning a fun experience so our kids can succeed in the near future. It’s sad that I pick this place for my child first school experience before kindergarten. My child also has been acting different since starting this program. She’s not the same talkative child. It’s like she doesn’t want to communicate with others. I believe this behavior was a bad Trauma from the school."

"Both my children have been attending ITAVA since they were 6 weeks old! they truly love what they do, and it shows. I know my children are well taken care of and I never have to worry. They are more than a daycare, they are educators, my oldest knows how to count to 5, knows his colors and names of the important people in his life. mind you he is only 2 years old. If you are looking for a loving, caring and educational place to send your child ITAVA is the place!"
