Blue Lake Animal Hospital

"We have been disappointed in Blue Lake Animal Hospital’s customer service - both the front desk staff and veterinarians - during the past several visits, and we should have researched other practices before now. The obvious turnover of these staff members speaks volumes about their overall job satisfaction, and it seems other commenters on this page have noticed the same. During the last well-pet visit, which should have been pretty quick, I was placed in an examination room and sat there for twenty minutes with no interaction with anyone during that time. I could tell the other rooms were empty, but I was told I “caused a scene” by asking the front desk to check on the status of the doctor. When he arrived, the doctor told me he was fixing a toilet. BL seems to be attempting to make up for their lost revenue by overcharging patients for routine medications. When I chose not to pay the $400 they were charging me for heartworm prevention and asked for a prescription instead, the practice cancelled me as a client without offering any alternatives. The management at BL is forgetting that customer’s do have a choice in the care of their pets. If your time is just as valuable as your veterinarian’s and you would like them to see your pet as more than a $, do not choose Blue Lake Animal Hospital."

"They got our bunny in right away as she was in pain. They were great and knew how to handle. She's still somewhat new to us so it was comforting to know we came to the right place."

"My Cavalier King Charles spaniel was having an issue with his tooth, he is 10 and has mitral valve disease so there is a risk of putting him under with sedation, Dr. Heather recommended an alternative that didn't need sedation. She worked with him and was patient as it took more than 1 treatment. Dr. Will and Dr Heather are genuinely concerned and want to do what is best for your animals, they are open and knowledgeable to alternative treatments, that is important to me. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I love Blue Lake Animal Hospital, and so do my animals. This is a picture of our Ozzie so relaxed on our way home from seeing Dr. Heather."

Everyone is so friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure our pets receive the best care. We cannot say enough about the vets and staff at Blue Lake Animal Hospital! "I brought my hedgehog Kingsley here because he's 3 and lost one of his adult teeth, and wanted to make sure there was no trauma or dental issues. The staff is lovely, they're so kind and welcoming, and the doctors are very knowledgable and great at communicating at how they're doing and the results of the visit.
