"Great place to get beginner surf lessons for groups or private. Our instructor, Rob, was very good at explaining proper technique and he was very patient. Wetsuits and surfboards are provided if you don't have them along with gloves, booties and a hood. First you learn how to do proper technique on dry land, then you try it in the water. We had 2-4 foot waves so we weren't able to stand up on the board. Calmer water would be easier as a beginner to avoid frustration. But it was a lot of fun trying! Next time I will get my own wetsuit. The water seeped in the wetsuit, gloves and booties that I was provided and I got wet so I'm glad I wore a bathing suit underneath instead of clothes. The used wetsuits develop a smell from being in the lake all the time according to the lady at the desk in the shop. All in all it was a great experience and I would do it again with a few adjustments as mentioned."

"So much fun! Instructor was very laid back and made the experience easy and informative. Quick to get on the water and enjoy some waves! Both workers helped me understand suit and accessories as a first time buyer. Highly recommend checking this place out!"

"This place is a HIDDEN GEM!! Probably one of the greatest surf experiences of my life after having surfed east and west coast. Shop owner was so chill and loved learning about surfing lake Michigan. Definitely will be back. It was below 40 degrees but the gear we rented kept us WARM. Waves were knee-chest high and fun sets all around and boards were nice. Yewwww!!"
