"I was happy to find a Steak ‘n Shake location. I thought they were all closed. They’ve innovated to continue offering good food at a super affordable price. Now you order yourself and pick up the food. In summary, no more wait staff. I would’ve given the food 4 stars, but what I thought was mayo on my burger was unmelted butter stuck to the lettuce. I guess they didn’t cook it long enough on the bun. But it is a super affordable lunch, and coupled with the nostalgic feelings, I would definitely give this spot another try in the future!"

"The food was great, no exceptions to this. The service, well what can I say. In an atmosphere where no one wants to work, they are doing their absolute best and it worked. Unfortunately, you must order from a digital kiosk, with no human contact, and your order is called out at the counter. Not like it used to be, when they had plenty of counter help, waitresses and busboy's. But like I said I worked, and we got all over our food that we ordered and it was correct and hot. So no complaints. I will definitely be going back. And we went to the Steak 'n Shake on Kenowa in Grandville."

"Shake and Steak used to be one of our favorite places to eat and unfortunately the pandemic killed it and it should be cremated. Whatever business model this is is not working. No more wait staff, no more kids cars, super pared-down menu and horrible service. The menu used to have so many delicious burger options that were always changing and now they're down to the absolute basics. The food we received was cold and tasteless, the soda machine was out of ice and people were generally confused about ordering on kiosks. I saw an elderly lady attempt to order, and leave when she was unsuccessful and the waitstaff was slow and had no idea how to help her. They need to either be what they used to be or just close because this sucks. The place is a sad ghost town calling itself a restaurant."

"The cashier was very nice and helpful. The burger was fresh , and tasted good. However the onion rings were obviously double fried, because they were super duper greasy, and cooked fast. I would be willing to wait longer for the onion rings to cook properly."

"I ordered a burger it was amazing, I ordered a chocolate shake and I could hardly taste any chocolate in it. The floor was super sticky, some tables were absolutely disgusting, and the woman’s bathroom had used toiletries on the floor. Other than that the food was fresh and tasted yummy."
