"I’ll never come back to Rush and at one point of time they were my favorite hospital. Today I waited 7 hours in the emergency room and still haven’t been seen. Basically they take people with severe symptoms like the symptoms I had wasn’t severe enough for them. I wasted almost my whole day waiting on them. Wasn’t nothing FAST TRACK about them. I would never go back ever again even if my life depended on it."

"I know the staff is trying but we have been waiting 32 hours for placement in an inpatient psychiatric facility. Furthermore, we aren’t allowed to leave since the social worker deemed a suicide risk."

"I really like my doctors but the patients from the migrants that come there are rude and no one corrects their behavior. I am a senior and another senior pushed me with her wheelchair and told me to move in spanish while in the neurology clinic on the 5th floor. This is not my first event with these folks. I may consider changing locations or doing tele-visits while I look for a new hospital. This makes me sad because I found a great team in Oak Park."

"I always come to Rush Oak Park for my medical needs. When I come to the ER I don't have to wait more than 3 hours how most people say. I get seen fast. And the nurses and doctors that see me have always been good to me and they take care of me well. I never have bad experiences. That's why I keep coming here. Thank you Rush Oak Park for good service in the ER and ICU unit. Nurses and doctors all good and friendly to me. And help make my stay comfortable."

"This place is the worst. I wasn’t feeling well all weekend and Monday night started getting chest pains so I called a sitter and went to the ER. I sat in the waiting room for 5 hours and then another hour in the room before I was seen by anyone. Dr. McKenna was the first person to see me and I explained how I had arm, back and chest pain with shortness of breath. She left and a nurse returned with Tylenol when I already told the Dr that Tylenol didn’t do anything so I passed on the pill. She then orders a urine sample and shortly after discharged me telling me to use a warm compress and Tylenol!? No bloodwork. No ECG. No asking about my family history. I was shocked. My mother has heart disease and I wouldn’t have waited so long to know that they didn’t take chest pains and shortness of breath to be an emergency. And the nurses didn’t seem to care at all about being in pain and were not very empathetic. The Dr really didn’t seem to care about what I was telling her and rushed me out saying it was a virus. Also, another patient was in the waiting room pregnant and they didn’t seem to care about her either. I made a vow to not come here anymore. No wonder everyone that lives in Oak Park goes to Elmhurst Hospital."
