"Clam strips way over cooked. If you stay at the Bear Paw Inn, get first drink free."

"First, let me say that the 2 start review is strictly due to the complete lack of customer service or even basic civility provided. The cashier (Carla I am guessing) was short on the phone and downright rude in person. I have gotten cheerier service from disgruntled teenagers at fast food drive in's. That said, the food was good. We had white fish and trout, both were better than average. The sweet potato fries were a bit thin, but not crunchy. Overall, the food would normally have gotten 4 stars with 5 possible depending on service. I would not recommend this place unless your tolerance for boorish behavior is quite high."

"Ordered the Lake Superior Lake Trout fish fry. It was the best fish fry ever, very fresh tasting fish and wonderful batter. Will be back to try the Lake Superior Whitefish next time! Very friendly owner and staff."
