"Excellent food, huge menu, clean and welcoming atmosphere, cold beer (plus a huge drink selection), and service that will make you feel like a neighborhood friend. We almost never dine at the same restaurant 2 nights in a row, but my burgers were some of the best I've ever had (cooked to perfection) and the homemade soups are like a hug in a bowl. Highly recommend this place!!!"

"Nice to have an easy to get to full service bar and restaurant on the north end of Bergland. Never seem to have a problem getting a table and love the specials and limitless menu options. Drinks are good and although at times it's busy they seem to take care of everyone that has sat at tables in the dining area. I was looking forward to trying the coconut breaded shrimp but as soon as I saw the bison burger option it was exciting to try something new. Thanks for the great dining experience and we look forward to getting great food and drinks again with you."

"We recently ate at trailside and it was not what we had been expecting or hearing as we are local to the area. We went on a very busy Saturday. The waitress was running her tail off and the bartender who is also the manager first approached our table as we had been sitting there for over 20 minutes waiting for drinks. By this time our kids were both whining and she walked up and said “what are they crabby?” I looked at her and said no they’re just kids! She was less than friendly. Meanwhile the waitress is running around like crazy and the bartender never even offered to get us drinks. She was behind the bar lollygagging around stocking her straws etc. there were at least 2, possibly 3 instances that people were coming in standing by the door and no one would acknowledge them so they walked out. Unbelievable! After at least 40 minutes we got our drinks and ordered our food. The southwestern egg rolls were absolutely disgusting. Fried pickles reminded me of a box of frozen fried pickles. The burger was excellent but the side of onion rings were not very warm. The service from our waitress was as good as she could, given the fact that the manager was not very helpful. Having worked in the industry many years, short staffed or not, there is still a standard you must hold yourself to! We will give it another go someday in the near future though. Will update when we do."

"We stopped after riding the trail around Lake Gogebic, tired, hungry and thirsty. Kathy the Sunday bartender was so kind, polite and knowledgeable. She emphasized all the homemade options and took great pride in making of first visit a fabulous one. The sampler platter was delicious and spot on!!! Will definitely visit again!!"
