"I got a ring resized and appraised there just a few years back (maybe 4-5) and it cost me $20 and I went up a whole size so they added to it. I just took a ring in this week and they are only going up 1/2 a size (not adding anything to it, and it cost me $80! Big difference! I won’t be going back there anymore. Ever since they closed the one across the street they have gotten more greedy. Not to mention the guy on the phone told me a lesser price and when I picked it up, the lady told me a higher price. I said that’s not what I was told on the phone. She was very rude and said that’s an estimate. I said he didn’t say an estimate. I specifically asked so I could bring the right amount of mo eh as I don’t carry cash, but don’t like to pay with my card, so I always get money out as I need it."

"Took my wife's (circular) wedding ring to get sized up. Work performed by "Luke", when I went to pick up, the diamond ring had deformities and work marks where you could see where the size was added. Luke took the ring back to work on again, and I picked up today. Thankfully the work marks are gone, but now the ring is out of round. Not even a symmetrical oval, but lopsided. When I mentioned it, excuses were made like "that's how he does rings", "fingers aren't perfectly round" and I was literally told "that's as good as its going to get", and the comment was made that it probably wasn't round when it was brought in (newsflash, it was). One of the things a jeweler does is put rings back into round anyway. The ONLY good thing about the service and work done is that the ring fits now. I will never take my rings or watches to Thoma again. Poor service and poor quality of work."

"Update: Watch is now properly fixed, did not charge for the past two times it was handled. I would advise not getting your watch fixed here until they find a new watchmaker. The only reason I am not leaving 1 star is the woman behind the counter was genuinely apologetic about everything. Even after the watch was fixed, there was dust on the inside of the crystal (which I addressed the first time)."
