"The newer remodeling has certainly improved the overall experience here. Less like an Ollie's and more like a traditional neighborhood store. Saving money especially in today's economy is important. Big Lots prices have increased but savings can be had if you look for them. Because customer service is a big part of the shopping experience I have to note the overall lack of enthusiasm from the employee at the register. It was easy to see this person could have cared less about customer service. If not for this I would have rated them higher."

"Good place to find odds and ends from food to furniture. Can occasionally find things not usually available in other local stores. They usually have really good quality Olive oil at a price way less than grocery store."

"Have not been in big lots in years. I found a lot of stuff to buy. The big thing I went there for was a new Recliner. I got a beautiful brown soft faux leather chair for under $350 - which includes a 3 yr warranty I purchased. I actually lucked out bcuz although they sell furniture, BigLots does NOT have much in stock. It usually takes up to 6 wks to get anything once you put money down. My new recliner was actually returned the day bfor by someone who decided that they didn't want it. It was still in plastic bag so I didn't have any problem with accepting it. Plus I did still get the warranty. Check out my new chair. FYI - the furniture store that is located rt next door is extremely expensive! I gave them a look bfor I went back to buy it at BigLots."
