"Would give them 20 stars if I could! We peeled away a couple of layers of flooring in our new home to reveal pretty beat up 107-year-old oak floors that we weren't sure could even be helped. They were brittle, broken, wavy, set directly on the joists with no subfloor, and we had no idea what we could do with them. I was really concerned about making sure we got someone in who was experienced with very old floors and would do the job well; we didn't want the floor just to look nice, but to be taken care of in a way that would extend its life and help us to preserve it for as long as we can. Cleveland hardwood restoration came in knocked it out of the park. We were super impressed by the level of care and attention to detail they put into it, and all the knowledge they had about their craft and old grumpy wood floors. By no means did it look like easy work, and yet no corners were cut, no shortcuts taken, they were thorough and careful in everything they did. We mostly left them to do their work, trying not to get in the way and bother them or hover around too much, but any time we had questions or were curious about something, Brian, Troy, and Jess were happy to indulge us and were nothing but patient and kind. They explained the different parts of the process and decisions around certain things, and provided plenty of helpful advice for caring for the floor into the future. In the end I can't even believe it's the same floor - we're totally blown away and can't stop looking at it. It's just fantastic. Again, would give 20 stars out of 5 if I could; the skill and care these folks have is exceptional."
