"I have a saying on my wall: Change is hard at the beginning, messy in the middle and gorgeous in the end. I think this pretty much sums up the wedding planning process. We went with Hudson’s Edge as it was a preferred vendor of our wedding event center, they were the best value and were thrilled to see that they offered décor to use knowing that this would save us a great deal of money and resources searching for those needed items. Initial meetings were great and courteous, answering our questions and providing a broad view of what we were paying for. The process got “messy” for us when we found at our 90-day meeting that our representative would not be our day of catering representative, but a now secondary person would be involved with our dream day. This was a double whammy of information as our event center gave us similar information. I am admittedly a type A personality and bride. The feeling of being passed around from person to person gave me a great deal of stress the last 90 days before my wedding as it was immensely hard to continue to try to build trust and communicate plans to new parties so close to the wedding day. Especially after being told, I had to give “exact” schematics for how I wanted their décor to be placed onsite without ever seeing it in person. I know they are professionals and while it may be their standard practice, we had no idea that we would not have the same person handling our wedding from start to finish and having had that information more up front, could have helped me better set expectations and manage emotions during an already stressful time. From a customer experience point of view, be sure to lay out the full view of what can happen when working with your team so that there are no surprises and if the couple is using your décor, providing simple suggestions or a look book of examples of what has previously worked in the space will go a long way. The day of questions and challenges could have likely been avoided. I honestly didn’t care that much about how the décor looked, I just wanted it to be pretty but being told I had to relay my “exact” desires because the staff was not decorators really stressed me (and likely H.E. out). The couple is turning over a great deal of trust, money and hope that vendors they are working with can handle the responsibility of bringing their dream to life with minimal additional stress. In the end, it was gorgeous. We all managed to get through the meetings, our emails, texts, and phone calls as best we could. Eventually I did get a chance to see some of the décor in person to help me make more informed plans. The day turned out to be everything we wanted with minor incidents as no wedding day is “perfect.” We really appreciated our representative deciding to show up and take the reins the day of to help ensure things ran smoothly and all the help that all the onsite staff gave that day to make our dreams come true. I could tell that they all were trying to bring their A game and we left with smiles on our faces. Guests are still complimenting us that it was the most beautiful wedding they had been to in a long time and how great the food was. "Hudson's Edge provided catering for our daughter's wedding at Swan Lake Event Center. They are a preferred vendor there. First, the food was excellent. Simple fair, but it was good and served HOT! Their staff was phenomenal. They have a great working relationship with the venue and helped set up, clean up, and coordinate. They were great with communication and have an inventory of items that you can borrow at no additional charge. I cannot recommend them enough."

"We had amazing service and food from Hudson's Edge for our wedding! They were so punctual and organized at our venue and had everything set up perfectly. The staff was attentive and made it very easy for our guests to be served their dinner. One of the staff was so kind and brought my husband and I our food so we didn't have to get up. Everything on our menu was so delicious and our guests were especially raving about the chicken and potatoes we had. We cannot recommend Hudson's Edge enough!
