Malita Marble & Granite

"Not a good experience and very unhappy with how it turned out. Installers were late by over a half hour and never called to tell me, I had to call the shop to ask where they were. Things happen to cause delays, so I wasn’t upset, though it would have been nice if they would have called to tell me that they were running late. I brushed it off because I just wanted my countertops installed. When the installers arrived, there was absolutely no communication from start to finish, they avoided talking to me and it was like pulling teeth to get any information. There was also no communication from anyone at Malita before install about the fact that they would be cutting our countertops in half and using a seam to adhere them together. After they installed the first countertop and left to return later in the day (they didn’t know what time they’d be back), I once again called the shop to ask about the seam and if the countertop could be one seamless piece instead, and offered to pay again if needed. No one ever called me back, and when the installers finally did return hours later, I wasn’t home and didn’t know that they’d be once again cutting the other countertop - not that they would have told me during install anyway. The seams look terrible, they don’t blend with the stone at all, and are two different colors, one being a terrible yellow dingy color dead center in the countertop (the countertops are white with gray veining). They also left shims sticking out and I had to cut them. I was told after the install that one of the counters was cut because of our backsplash. If that had been communicated to me before install, when they had come to my house to measure for the countertops, I would have told them that I would have the backsplash taken out before install because I prefer a seamless countertop and could have easily replaced the backsplash. The stone used for the countertop is absolutely beautiful and I’m so disappointed with how it turned out. I will likely have these torn out and replaced by a different company sometime in the future."

"I have had 3 counter tops installed within the last three years by George and his son Justin. the last one was on the 03/19/22. They are very helpful and and knowledgeable. my wife and I go and look at the available stone in their lot, tell him what we want and it's a done deal. I have one more bathroom to re-do, probably next year and I have no issues having them install the top for me. I had one problem, my fault, on my Quartz kitchen counter top and they bent over backward trying to help me. Unfortunately I can not fix the problem but it's not visible unless I point it out. Would Highly recommend them."

They measure and make a template of all the counter tops and the island. We choose the granite, we took our cabinet door and a tile to be sure that the granite was the perfect combination. The kitchen was done as they said. We are so happy."
