"Got my hair cut and colored with Isabel Dean. The finished looked was so much better than I ever could have imagined. I have never seen my hair look so good and the highlights look so flawless and blended. She perfectly matched the color and the cut was just as good and the exact length I wanted. "First and last time I come here. As I walked through the doors immediately judgmental looks. The service was alright the girl that did my mani pedi was sweet. However $123 for shellac mani pedi that chipped the next day is a red flag, the lady in the front desk was very rude and cold to me . 3/10"

"Despite living in Central Ohio, this is my salon of choice. The reception staff is always very friendly and helpful. The services are exceptional and the stylist(s) are truly amazing. I love supporting businesses where the staff are treated well, and they all have wonderful things to say about the owners and workplace environment, which shows. The facilities are always clean, tools and utensils are cleaned immediately and files (for nails) are sent home with the customer. I have had many services done/performed but for this most recent visit, had my (second ever) gel manicure. "LOVEEEED my experience here at Design 1 in Gaines Township. In the past I have had some terrifying hair experiences at another salon in the area so I was nervous to go back to a salon for hair services. Over the course of 5 years I’d box dye my hair myself, all dark colors. I went to Design 1 for a consultation with Kass. I wanted to go be as close to my natural hair color as possible with some definition, but I also wanted to be realistic and not ruin my hair either. Kass and the staff were great from start to finish. Kass did an amazing job listening to my vision and giving me an action plan that best fit to achieve the results. She made me feel comfortable during the whole process and kept an open line of communication on whats being done with my hair as it went. She did such a great job I am still so surprised that my hair turned out as good as it did. Thank you Kass for giving me hair that I love!!"
