"Sold iPhone X in good condition. I got a check and when I wanted to put it on my account it showed NSF. I had problems with the bank because of that. Where is my money? I am a student. Please let me know what I can do in this situation."

"Bought a phone. Didn’t connect to the network. Sent it back for my refund. And never heard back after multiple attempts nor have I seen a refund. There are dozens of other people reporting this same experience. This company is incompetent and lacks integrity and does NOT deserve your business. STAY FAR AWAY!"

"A couple years back, I sold my husband's and my phones, with no issue. I decided to try them again... I shipped my phone on 6/5 (with the shipping label provided from their website). Tracking shows the package arrived at their P.O. Box on 6/7. I have not received any communication from them. I have emailed them and used the contact form on their website. I just tried calling their listed phone number, and it is not in service. Seems like their just running some fraudulent operation at this point."

"Bought a phone from this guys through Swappa. Two weeks after it was received the phone stopped working. I contacted them, sent the phone back and they confirmed they received and that they initiated the refund on May 19th. It is June 12th and the money is nowhere to be seen. Emailed them through Swappa, and vendor never replied. Escalated with PayPal and they are helping me take care of the issue. DO NOT BUY from ReCell!!!"

"Me and my husband sent this company 2- IPhone 13 Pro Max phones to sell for $1440. At first the process seemed to be going quickly and within a week they said they had sent out our check in the mail. My husband contacted Recell after 7-8 days wanting to know when to expect our check. He was emailing with a woman named “Ariel,” who said that it could take up to 10 business days but that our check was mailed out on 5/8/23. After 10 business days we contacted them again and we’re told that our check was mailed out on 5/7/23. So at that point we asked her which was it the 8th or the 7th, and called her out on lying. She then said they would send an email with a copy of the check within 48 hours. Contacted her after 48 hours stating we hadn’t received anything and was told we had to wait “48 business hours.” They then FINALLY emailed us a pdf of a check for $1440 and told us to print it out and mobile deposit it. Well we did that and we thought the check had cleared only to check our account 2 days later and find that out that our bank had took the money out of our account due to their account having insufficient funds. We have already told them that if we weren’t paid we would be contacting the sheriffs department and the federal trade commission. My husband contacted “Ariel” again after their bad check bounced and she “acted” like she didn’t know why it bounced. She then asked for his PayPal information and said that we would be paid through there plus the fees we were charged for the bad check. That was on Friday and she stated we could possibly be paid as early as this past weekend. Well no shock here that we still haven’t been paid, and now they will no longer contact us back! I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy!! I’m still hoping they will make this right and we will get paid or at least get our phones back but I’m not holding my breath. I will update/change my review if/when they make things right."
