"The beginning of April my dryer went out and I have the protection plan on it. So I call in to schedule a repair for that following weekend. Well the person who schedule it put it in as an installation. And the installers where coming to install a dryer that I didn't have. So they canceled the install and didn't schedule a new repair. So I called in again to schedule a repair....they put it in wrong again. The third time I got the right person to schedule it for a repair 2 weeks out so not im out a dryer for a month. Great customer service! So when the tech guy came out, Doug great guy and found out that the installers didn't tighten the wiring harness and fried the harness...so I'm waiting another week before the part comes in and have it replaced...needless to say I'm paying on a dryer that isn't working because geek squad doesn't know the difference from repair and install."

"I and my husband have been sooo disappointed w/the Geek Squad. We have experienced so many problems w/our computer (laptop) recently & have contacted the Geek Squad to no avail. They have NOT been helpful, not been as knowledgeable as we thought and our aggravation continues. It would take TOO MUCH TIME here 2 explain it all. We have an appointment tomorrow 2 physically take our laptop to Best Buy to hopefully rectify the situation. Another thing...every time we've contacted the G.S., we always get a foreigner. Every time! Not opposed to foreigners as part of our society, but when I'm in a crisis I dont need any language barriers; it only adds to the frustration. I'd like to be able to give a better review, but I honestly can't. Their system is NOT working! --Cynthia Houston"

"i’m not one to leave awful reviews online, but i’m really disappointed in the service i received at geek squad. i dropped my computer off a couple days ago, they said they’d call or text when it was ready and would probably take 2-3 days. it’d been 3 days and hadn’t heard from them so i checked online. it said that my computer had been ready for a day - but i hadn’t heard from them at all - and not only that, but that it had already BEEN PICKED UP. cue me freaking out bc i thought they’d let someone steal my computer under their watch. we drove over to best buy only to find out that it was a glitch and my computer was just ready to be picked up. the employees didn’t seem apologetic or realize how much it had upset me. so we go home, i try to turn my computer on happy to have it back in my possession, only to discover that the issue hadn’t even been fixed after all that trouble and time lost. i’m a writer and not having access to my computer for days on end is really detrimental for me, so i’m upset that not only was it gone longer than it should have been had they bothered to, i don’t know, actually call or text me, but now we have to take it BACK because they didn’t fix the issue i brought it to them with."

"I was taken care of by Carl, I had a iMac that crashed and he helped me recover all of my projects and valuable data. He also did it very quickly! I highly recommend going to him if you have issues with your Mac. Very intellectual and personable guy. Thankful he was able to help me."

"Awful!. Never again. I took a 5 year old HP laptop to be repaired in mid November 2016. The technician looked at it and quoted a price $150 to repair. Before I left, they said there would be an additional $60 charge for a new hard drive. I was debating whether it was worth spending $210 on a 5 year old laptop. A new would cost me $500-600. I decided to go ahead with it. I had to pay the $210 up front. A few days later I got another call informing me that the previous OS could not be used so I had to pay another $130 to have Windows 10 installed. I could not get my $210 back. I had no choice but to pay. I ended up paying $340 to repair a 5 year old lap top. When I picked up the laptop, there was the laptop, its electrical cord, two small boxes (from the new hard drive and one that contained Windows 10), and a separate folder with the receipt and some paperwork. The Geek Squad employee didn't even bother to put it all in a plastic bag so that I can carry it out easily. He handed all over the counter to me and I had to walk out holding these things against my chest so they wouldn't fall on the ground. This is my first and last time dealing with the Geek Squad. Never again."
