"During my transition process Risa and team have been amazing at FIRST TROY. She went out of her way when the first apartment I wanted wasn’t available that there was something else to my liking. I currently live here and have since 2017. From the maintenance staff to the office everyone made me feel welcomed. I’m glad I chose FIRST TROY. The prices are more than reasonable for a fully remodeled one with built in washer and dryer and central air. I’m spoiled. Noise levels are tolerable. My only gripe is parking which I had to rent carports just to have designated parking but that’s my only complaint. I would highly recommend FIRST TROY. I also love on their website the many communities they have so there’s something for everyone. If you are looking check the website daily and apply for an apt ASAP because they rent quick."

"I was working as a COVID nurse while living at Heather Green, long hours very few days off. I am now being served because they want almost 2000$ in damages but they haven’t returned an email or phone call since the eviction. They stole my sitter’s package and hid it in a neighbors apartment because they didn’t recognize the name even though it was clearly labeled for my unit. They didn’t know what cards they took so when my payment was denied I had to eat most of the fees. Almost 300$ worth. They barely communicate and are cowards when it comes to evictions. Waited for me to leave for work to serve my notice to my babysitter. The dryer didn’t work the whole year we lived here and just a heads up rabbits are considered exotic pets but pit bulls are okay. Based on the smells they’re pot head friendly! I’ll be filing a civil complaint as well given they didn’t start this behavior until my lesbian friend starting watching my toddler for me."

"Three years I stayed at this place and while leaving got the apartment professionally cleaned including sending receipts of cleanup to their office. Paid my rent on time for 3 years. And what I got nothing short of a christmas gift, instead of returning my security deposit they sent me a bill of $1200. SHOCKED and Amazed at the charges, replacing kitchen counter tops, washing the walls, $50 for cleaning kitchen cabinets. I mean are you kidding me ? Is this a way for them to fund their maintenance ? or the fancy new office they have built for themselves ? Or just a way to harass me cos I am Asian. Completely helpless and top of that they threatened me to pay else they will report to collection agency ? Unbelievable how this place is still in business and how tenants have no rights at all."

"Management is completely ridiculous...My wife and I cleaned every other week and spent hours cleaning before we moved out. Management still charged us $150 for not cleaning blinds and a couple windows (ON THE OUTSIDE) Why would a resident be responsible for cleaning second story windows?!?! I would not recommend renting from this company. Management is not personable but maintenance guy is awesome (Jim). Would take time out of his day to talk to you and fixed things right the first time."

"I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with First Troy. This apartment in particular is probably the best one in Troy that can be rented for such a low price. I did read and hear negative reviews from others. These people said that the owners were difficult to work with, and that they were charged for non-existent damages; however, half of my deposit was returned, and I didn't leave the residence in perfect condition. The managers were also good about maintenance and responding to requests. Specifically, they cleaned my garbage disposal at no charge when I may have mis used it. I assigned this property 4 stars rather than 5 mostly because the parking situation is less than ideal."
