"Ulmer's does a great job of repairing my car. I typically bring my car to them for new tires, alignments, and repairs that I don't have the tools to complete. They do a great job of servicing my car and keeping me informed on the health of my vehicle."

"Ulmers is the best in town! I feel that this is an honest, efficient, reliable place to take my car. Friendly and I never feel taken advantage of. The only problem is that it’s hard to get in without scheduling ahead. However completely worth it if you have the flexibility and the time."

On my last visit they found I needed a replacement part which took a couple days to complete. I was surprised and relieved when I was offered a loner vehicle to use. "Overall good experience from a staff and accessibility and communication standpoint. The reason for 3 stars is because of the cost of diagnostics without notice. I just bought a 2008 Tacoma and wanted to check the brakes and starter and I had some vibration from 0-15 mph. Pretty simple stuff to check in a vehicle usually. They never got a chance to view my vehicle the first day it was there. So I had to get picked up and take a loaner. That’s fine but still a pain when they are just running diagnostics. Then when I get a call the second day it is there, they said I needed new tires and new shocks, that’s also fine. I figured something was off. $3600 for all of that. Seemed high so I didn’t do the work. Went to pick up my truck and got a bill for $300!!!! How!? I was told that there was a $60 charge to check the brakes. That’s fine. But wasn’t advised of a $300 bill to check a vehicle out and test drive it. Very steep for the amount of work that probably went into it. Unfortunately I will not be taking my vehicles here as this was my first experience and was enough to deter me. I got a quote from a family friends auto shop in bethel and quoted all of the work for $1600. And probably wouldn’t have charged me for figuring out what was wrong with it. Overall good experience from customer service. Too costly for what you get. If you have money to spend, I’m sure they do a great job, but at the end of the day, it’s swapping parts."

"We originally went to Ulmer's to fix a flat tire (first time visitors), but they quickly realized the tire wasn't going to be salvageable. We decided to buy a new set, and had some other things fixed while it was in the shop. We appreciated them working us in since we didn't have an appointment, and even though we spent a lot, it was all necessary, and Ulmer's (we worked directly with Jason) was great at keeping us informed on the status of the vehicle from beginning to end (2 days total). They definitely gained our trust, and we will be repeat customers I'm sure!"
