Middlegrounds Metropark is an urban oasis located at 111 Ottawa Street in Toledo, Ohio. This 28-acre park offers a peaceful retreat in downtown Toledo, with a half-mile of river frontage along the Maumee River. Visitors can enjoy a 1.5-mile walk/bike path, tranquil views of the river, and the sight of freighters passing by.
This reclaimed riverfront property has been transformed with sustainability in mind, featuring beautiful decking made of ipe wood and a natural water runoff system. The park includes a kayak cove for those who bring their own boats and a hub for the Veo Bike Share program.
Middlegrounds is part of the Glass City Riverwalk project, which will eventually encompass 300 acres of greenspace along the river. The park also features an off-leash dog area with separate sections for large and small dogs, catering to downtown residents and visitors.

It looks beautiful year-round and has restrooms to change clothes, ample parking, and lots of different locations with different scenery to change things up. We are so lucky to have such a versatile and convenient park in the area!"
