"MARCH 2023 Called for reservations four hours away, told we had site 12 waiting, BUT if it's occupied (blamed "computer issue") go find an empty site. From the highway you'll see first row of newer and clean 5th wheels linedup on spacious sites and a large barn-red building just beyond. Looks impressive from highway, but this Rv resort is NO resort. Behind 1st row are very narrow sites throughout, no room to maneuver large rig in site. Dog droppings everywhere. Trash piled in firepits. Sites too close to other rv sites. Permanent residents and broken-down trailers or vehicles. No trash bins in the vacinity of your site, large dumpsters on other side of park. Pool has been "under construction" for several years with no improvement. Larger rigs will have difficulty moving around the narrow road in the park. Photos are extremely misleading. Will never be back. Rundown trailer park is more accurate."
"Pros: -Year round availability -Right off I-69, 5 minutes to Auburn and 10-15 minutes to north Fort Wayne. We stayed here for a year because there were no other options. Unfortunately the reviews on Yelp from several years ago are still relevant and this park hasn’t attempted to improve at all it seems. They have recently created several new sites, some that are 50amp, which is where we stayed, but there’s several problems so I’ll list: -The new 50amp sites we stayed in are angled at such an awkward angle it is difficult to back in the camper, especially if all the other sites are full. -The connection to dump your tanks at each site is raised, therefore making it very difficult for your tanks to be emptied. We even tried to build up our lines with boards, but having them flush with the ground like most campgrounds would’ve been nice. -The electricity seems to be an issue. We spoke with other long term campers who had problems with their campers “over heating” despite having surge protectors on. When we left, I noticed a burnt spot on our brand new power cord that we bought just before we arrived and we had a surge protector on the entire time. We also moved 3 times to different spots and it wasn’t until the 3rd spot that our brand new hot water tank began to finally work (we kept thinking it was an issue with the tank, but could never figure out what was going on). After talking with people who moved into our previous spots and them having electricity issues, I assumed it’s something not related to our camper. -The laundry room had a “sorry for the construction” note the entire time we were there, but nothing was ever done. It’s by far the worst laundry facility I’ve seen, most of the washers & dryers are not working, there’s holes in the ground covers by rugs (which I unknowingly stepped in and twisted my ankle!) and nothing seems to ever be clean or maintained. I recommend going to the laundry mat by Walmart in Auburn if you need to do laundry! -The showers are pathetic. As mentioned above, our hot water tank didn’t work most of the time we were there, leaving us to have to take showers at the cabin. The weird thing is, you have to walk in and completely shut the door before the light turns on. Each shower room has 1990’s wood peg shelves that your bags slip off and wind up on the disgusting floor. Every shower stall had a jacked up shower head. We had 2 stalls that we would only use because they seemed to be “the best” option. There was mold growing on the walls & ceilings. -The mail is left in the hallway for everyone and anyone to rummage through. We weren’t comfortable with that and had our most of our mail sent to a family members house, but for some reason my employer sent me something during tax season that had a lot of personal information and when I found it in the pile of mail, it had been opened. A place we stayed before had mailboxes you could rent for $5 a month and I feel like that would be much safer!!!! Especially since the office is rarely open it seems. -The pool was never in service. -The ground floods any time it rains. -The sites are all gravel. -There’s no real amenities that makes this place stand out. They raised the prices at the start of 2023 and have been adding new sites, but they need to do something to make this place more desirable to stay at if they want to have happier customers!"
"I don't recommend staying here. front desk ladies are very unprofessional, the dark haired lady likes to flirt with married men, she lets her children all under the age of 8 roam around and walk up into random people's yards, there's chomos that live out their full time, they don't tell anyone which they are supposed to when kids are living out there, I'll post the two pictures I have. she also pulled a gun up from under the front desk for absolutely no reason, my husband will tell you exactly what happened if you asked. the bathrooms and the showers are NEVER clean. the water doesn't warm up like it's supposed to. my husband spend almost an hour waiting, he said f- it and came back and we took off to his brother's so he could shower."
"Location is great. It is not easy to find a place to park an rv in Fort Wayne. 5 minutes to get food in Auburn 20 minutes to Fort Wayne. The people who run it are very nice. And yes this park is under rehab. I would like to see pics later after they are finished. I give it 4 stars for location and the great people in the office. If you have ever stayed at a park with rude or obnoxious workers, you appreciate ppl who treat you well. And if you ever spent amount of time driving to a camp off major highways you appreciate the great location."
"Pro/Cons from our 4 day stay. Pro- level, full hook up, pull through sites. Con- Younger trees, 3/4 of the camp ground appears to be long term tenants which do not maintain their sites, most of the site for short term are missing picnic benches and water taste terrible. Pro- Easy access from the highway. Con- Highway noise. Pro- Has a pool/playground Con- Pool under construction and appears to have been under construction for quite some time now. Pro- Has laundry room with 4 washers and 6 dryers. Con- Not vey clean, 3 dryers & 1 washer broken and no smoking laundry room have fans in the windows to cool the room but on the other side of the windows is a porch where all the smokers sit and smoke there cigarettes. Pro- Multi-able Showers and bathrooms in main building. Con- Showers and bathrooms could use a serious face lift. Lastly the dumpster is a good walk to throw trash away (there were cans the 1st night but were taken and never returned during our stay). We think it is over priced for what you get but just stating what we experienced during our stay so it is in black and white for you to choose if this is the place for you. We would not stay here again."
