"Basically my experience was the person selling the products lacks experience and knowledge of pool problems. My only other comment would be as long as you have pool experience yourself and know what products you need, this business will work for you. However if you do run into any issues from their advice or products that were purchased - they take no responsibility. Basically blame you the customer and go so far as to call you to 'chew' you out..That was my experience, I'm sure it will not be everyone's, but be aware. I have to edit my response since this review. I had come in to buy a specific product and was strongly steered towards another. No gun to my head, but the aftermath was a disaster. My pool filter completely clogged with calcium overloading the pool pump which is dead. I closed my pool dirty and after being fed up for the first time in 31 years. Opening a dirty pool and facing repairs in the Spring could have been avoided if I could have just walked in, bought the product I wanted. It is what it is."

"I truly don't know how this place is in business! Per their website, they expect you to make an appointment to come in and look at their store. They absolutely refuse to talk to you about anything they don't physically have in stock at the moment (which is about 4 items). And the sales lady argued with me about the tub that I wanted to see, claiming it was a tub she had in stock that was absolutely nothing like the tub I wanted to see. It's literally the first hot tub listed on their website and she swore up and down that they didn't carry it. Would never do business with this place in a million years!"

"Poor handoff process post sale. I had to go to a chemical supplier in Akron to understand what to do as the service/support at Farrell was very poor. Additionally, within the first year of pool ownership, the generator went bad. I called Pentair and they informed me that Farrell was only able to sell the product, not service or warranty the product. Once the pool was installed I went back to Farrell in need of maintenance chemicals. Farrell does not extend any discount off chemicals for their own customers. Again, had to go to Akron for a price competitive chemical supplier. I suggest looking into more price competitive pool installers. They all use about the same grade products, but price more competitive."

"Save your money and grief. There are more professional and helpful companies in the area. Not only is the owner unprofessional, they will sell you unnecessary chemicals for simple solutions. Update: allow me to clarify. We’ve purchased two pools and a hot tub from Ferrell over the last 20 years spending upwards of $60K. Regardless of attitudes and feelings, a customer should never be told to leave and never come back. It is still true that there are cheaper alternatives for chemical “fixes” for pool water balance issues. Their customer service is generally bad - increasingly so over the last 5 years."

"This is hands-down the best pool company around. After extensive research, we decided on Ferrall Pools and we couldn't be more satisfied. Excellent communication, incredible workmanship, fair price, fast, clean, reliable. Mike has the best contractors working with him too, Roger Storm (plumbing, gas, & electric) and Anthony Milano (concrete.) Our experience has been very positive. It's hard to find good work & good customer service together, but this is the complete package."
