"My nail set was a full acrylic set with French tip covered with chrome, almond shaping, and two top coats (~$100). Although they looked beautiful, they did not last me past a week. A nail chipped and broke within 7 days, but since I was already on vacation, I couldn’t go back to fix it. Also, my pinky nail completely fell off like a “press-on” after just 2 weeks. I do this exact set with my reg nail lady but she was out of town. A set like this usually last me at least 2 weeks, even 3 with no problems. This was my second time at luminous. I did have issues the first time in which the first two techs were not familiar with how to apply chrome. I heard they are better for things like dip, so I guess it depends on what your getting."

"This is my go to nail salon and recently I have been disappointed. My no chip polish chipped within 4 days! I went back to get my set polished again…. Of course it was an issue and I had to pay which is fine. I am okay with paying for a service but I at least thought it’ll be discount… no. After leaving it’s been 1 day and guess what polish is chipped again. I do no hard labor with my hands causing my polish to chip like this. Smh"

"2 stars because this is the nail spa that I always come to. The environment is clean, although the polish wall is slightly unorderly. I usually am satisfied with my nails, at least satisfied enough to not go out of my way to leave a review… These nails cost me 70 dollars, my toes cost me 40. I spent 110 dollars for mediocre quality. They started me with my pedicure which was fine up until the point where the person was painting my toe nails. They accidentally smudged the polish and although they noticed it because they were picking at it, they ended up just leaving it. Reference the photo. Within one day my nails started lifting, you can even see in the photos the air under the nails. My hair keeps getting caught under the nail which is extremely annoying. I asked for white tips, and they did clear tips with French paint. Which are different, both appearance and price wise. The paint wasn’t even, and the polish didn’t fully reach the sides of my nails. The photos are about a week grown out. I don’t know if I’m being picky, but I am just not satisfied enough with these nails for how much I paid. Sadly I don’t think I will be returning."
