"I've been going to this nail salon for 10 years when it was formerly KB Nails. The former owners Bi and Li were the kindest people. They did great work and befriended their customers. When their family decided to sell the business they encouraged their customers to continue to support the new owners. At first the new owners seemed good. Over the past year their service has declined. I've thought about switching to another salon several times. Today Tip Top lost my business. I had an appointment for a pedicure and fill. I showed up to only two people working but as first customer in the salon was taken right away to a pedicure chair. A few more workers showed up and walk in customers trickled in. During what was supposed to be a 60 minute Royal pedicure I was told they would finish my pedicure later and moved to a manicure chair. The rude man who I normally tried to avoid when in the salon began doing my nails. As usual he didn't really speak other than to snap at me to relax as he pushed my hand and fingers around as if I was doing something wrong and he was irritated with me. My purse was then moved behind me on my chair so another customer could sit in the chair next to me as if it too were in the way. I then was returned to a different pedicure chair to allow another man to finish my pedicure. My nails look fine but the experience was not relaxing or welcoming. I was of course charged full price for what was certainly less than a royal experience. Having an appointment certainly did not matter. The next person in the door without an appointment was more important. I'm sure the owners don't care based on how I was treated today but I've spent $125 at least once per month for over 10 years at that salon. I will be taking my business to somewhere that I am appreciated. I am sure Bi and Li would be saddened at what has happened to their business."

"Worst nail experience I’ve ever had! Friend and I were in town for the day so decided it’d be fun to get our nails done. We made appointments earlier in the week. No one was waiting but we were so rushed! Somehow got pedicures and gel “manicures” in less than 30 minutes. There was absolutely no “manicure” involved. My gel nails lasted 8 days (barely) and were able to be removed VERY easily by hand. On the plus side, didn’t damage my nails at all since it was so poorly done to begin with. Would never return here or recommend."

"So thrilled I noticed this place one day when I was in Troy for physical therapy. I'm usually not that brave, not decided to try this new place. I didn't have any wait and was seated right away! I had Jenny. She did an awesome job on my hideous nails! She was so fast and very friendly. I got chrome over top of my nail polish and love it! The only concern I had was the major difference in price from the amount when you check in. Forgot to add, Jenny doesn't use stickers! She is a wonderful artist! Overall though, I was very pleased with this salon!!"
