"This review is based on a one night stay. The hotel was fairly close to Cedar Point. Was this a five star hotel? No. Was it the cleanest? No. Was it the most modern upscale hotel? No. Was the staff ultra helpful and friendly? No. Was it 300 a night? No!!! I was looking for a decent hotel to literally crash at after 12 hours at Cedar Point. Here was my criteria... A comfortable bed. Check! A decent shower. Check! Less than 300 a night. Check! Bottom line if you don't want to spend a fortune on a place after a long day at Cedar Point and you are going to crash 20 minutes after arriving then this is a great option. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot and had lots of pressure. Just my two cents"

"I was nervous about my reservation because I saw some horrible reviews from previous guests. When I arrived I was pleased to find my fears were wrong. The hotel is in a great area. Plenty of places to shop and dine. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful. My room was clean. The carpet just needs a good deep cleaning. The room is a little outdated. Overall, I was happy considering it was a budget stay."

"Giving it one star is generous. We booked three rooms and each was disgusting in their own way. Everything was dirty. Stains all over the walls, each bed had stains on all layers of the sheets. Two of the rooms smelled like mildew, one of the bathrooms had tiles falling from the ceiling. When addressing our concerns with the front desk, we were told there was nothing they could do. The woman offered to clean the rooms as if that was an additional service we should have requested in the beginning. She said she would t offer a refund because they were all things that could be cleaned. Absolutely disgusting, I wouldn’t recommend any part of this place to anyone... ever"

"When we got in it was kind of a cool lobby. Woman at the front desk was rude. If you have anyone under 21 it’s a $10 deposit for each person which was not specified anywhere. We had three out of the four of us under 21 but they charged $10 for each of us four and it’s cash only. Everything in this hotel is from the old Americas Best Value or whatever the hotel used to be, and there was mold on the shower and paint chipping in the room. Sheets were dirty and beds uncomfortable. The WiFi was terrible, and the continental breakfast was just donuts from the vending machine. All of the outside doors are almost always wide open so anyone can come in and the room doors barely lock. Would recommend the other Magnuson hotel that’s even cheaper than this one because it’s nicer quality and the staff are more helpful. Would definitely not recommend."

"Okay, so this was my first time visiting cedar point, the hotel location was amazing! So we decided to stay here, the price wasn’t bad and we were only a few miles away from the park. We get inside and the lady behind the desk, who is a bit older, was VERY rude to the people in front of us. They had a reservation but she was teasing them about how they don’t actually book rooms until you arrive!? What does that mean!? Anyway so I get to my room and instantly I’m like, oh no... what have I done... there’s no mini fridge for our food... not even a phone for room service (which I don’t use, but maybe to order towels) there’s weird brown stuff on the walls. And pen dawn all over the bathroom door. The room key kept going out, like every day. The beds WRECKED my back so bad I couldn’t sleep half the time and the bathroom light went out... for two days they didn’t fix it... but hey! They gave us a lamp in the mean time!! Don’t get me wrong the staff were very polite and nice... but the conditions were horrible, and I’ve stayed at an Econo Lodge, at least they have mini fridges. This hotel also provided a Continental breakfast, OH BOY!! Assorted hostess donuts from the vending machine down the hall on a tray next to one pot of coffee... I paid almost $600 to stay here which is more than my months rent! And I couldn’t even sleep... please get a better hotel elsewhere, yes the hotel staff are nice, but you won’t be able to sleep and the sanitary conditions are very questionable..."
