"First time here. We sat at the bar and Carla our barmaid was very friendly and accommodating with all my questions. Lol.... Food was really good and we plan on going back. For a side note the history of the buildings are very interesting."

"I'm thinking the steakhouse and tavern should be listed as separate businesses, my wife and I had dinner at the steakhouse in the basement. Friday night with no reservations but we got right in. The ambiance was dark, the tables in the area we sat were nearly on top of each other, and the music did not match the setting at all, I'm guessing it was the same music being played in the tavern. We waited a long time, 10 minutes maybe, before our drink order was taken, such that we ordered our food at the same time. The rolls were delightful, sweet, and soft. I ordered the house sirloin steak and my wife ordered seasoned chicken. And although the food wasn't bad, it was bland for the cost. I've been fasting from meat for forty days before Christmas so you'd think that the bar would be pretty low for me, but my first bite of steak left me wishing for something more savory."
"Its a unique place for dinner. Great date night place.... HOWEVER. we waited 1 3/4 hrs. for our food. Reservations were for 6pm. we were sat promptly, and thus began the wait. This was on a Saturday evening, but not sure what the deal was. But, based on this alone, I will not go back. All the tables around us had the same deal. Our server was kind and did her best in keeping drinks filled & rolls brought out. Once we finally got our food it was devoured in 10 minutes flat, we were starved. The steak was good, but again not worth the 1 3/4 hour wait!"
"My sister and I went here for my birthday lunch. I got the Philly and house chips, she got the fish and fries and we ordered breaded mushrooms for an appetizer. Our food was very good and reasonably priced. The portions were good sized as we both took home leftovers. Our bartender was friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant. I will definitely go back."
