"My group was a party of five (one missing spouse) who recently enjoyed a great evening at J Bistro Downtown Sanduski, Ohio. The food, drinks and service were all excellent! I enjoyed Scallops over Risotto… perhaps the best I had anywhere. Cocktails were served in generous glasses. Good selection of tasty desserts... excellent Crème Brûlée. The atmosphere, particularly due to the soft lighting, was very pleasant. Bottom line, don’t hesitate to enjoy an evening at J Bistro Downtown Sandusky… you won’t be disappointed!"
"I wouldn’t classify this restaurant as fine dining. We went on a Friday night and it was an extremely loud cafeteria like atmosphere. Service was slow. We ordered shrimp tacos as an appetizer and it was covered in shredded cheddar cheese. I’ve never seen a shrimp taco at a served this way. We ordered steaks and when our food came out they said they were out of mashed potatoes and served us mashed sweet potatoes which we don’t like. The server did offer to bring fries, but they never came until we finished our meal. The steak was cooked nice and tasted good. But for the price we paid and the experience we had, it wasn’t worth it."

"The service was incredible, everyone was super attentive. The food here was off the charts, unbelievably good! The steak was cooked to perfection, as was the cod and shrimp! This is your best bet if you are in Sandusky and want a superior dinner!"
