"I had high hopes for this practice after being referred by my primary doctor's office but I could not be more disappointed. All they care about is the money. After paying $350 for an initial visit and $300 for follow-up, and seeing zero results with the treatment I was taking, I did some research on Lyme disease and decided I wanted to be tested via a lab that uses a more sensitive test than the standard western blot. On one of the Lyme websites I saw that Jen was a certified "Lyme literate" provider. I was thinking I could simply call the office and she could fill out the paperwork for the Lyme test. Instead I was told I had to come in and pay another $300 just to discuss the test! I find that outrageous considering I was an established patient and all I was asking was for her to check off the appropriate lab tests. Also, I presented with multiple symptoms of lyme. Why did she not mention it to me as a possibility during either of my two visits? As always, it's all about the money. Very disappointed."

"While I enjoyed my results with Jen O'Brien, I unfortunately can not rate them higher. - Communication is one of their biggest issues. The last 5 appointments I've had, I've asked for my macros to be calculated and put on my portal... and the last 5 times it never happened. - Eventually my portal stopped working altogether, and they told me it was my problem and I needed to reach out to the portal company. - A friend of mine decided to try out her practice as well and asked ahead of time what she would be paying. She was told $XX. When she went to check-out they nearly doubled her total, saying her appointment was "more involved" ... we weren't sure why her appointment was any different than mine, and she was never told before or during the appointment. - At the beginning of the year in the middle of the pandemic, they tripled their prices without letting all of their clients know. When I called to schedule my usual appointment, they asked if I had seen their pricing changes; when I said no and asked what they were, I was continuously directed to the website before I had to finally insist they just tell me what I would be paying. - When I told them I couldn't afford their new pricing structure and asked for recommendations for other nutritionists, I was told they didn't know any others. However in the same conversation they told me they calculated their new prices based off other practices in the area... - I asked them to send my information over to my general practitioner to see if they could take over my prescriptions, and they did... but then apparently, without asking or letting me know, they discharged me as a client. Despite everything, I had decided to schedule one last appointment to talk steps for handling my nutrition on my own going forward, but they told me they would no longer take appointments with me because THEY had dropped me without my knowledge. Again while I did enjoy my results, please just be cautious and get everything in writing if you do decide to move forward with this practice."

"Jen O’Brien provides such thorough cate and invests extensive time in office visits, never making a patient feel rushed. She is also very resourceful in looking for services and discounts to save money if a referral is necessary. She is very diligent about working with a patient until answers are found and treatment is successful. Our entire family sees her and are all very pleased."

Jen will approach your care in a holistic manner - she genuinely cares for her patients and their whole health, not just their physical health. She looks at multiple factors in your life to provide you with the best diagnosis and treatment possible & she's not afraid to think outside of the box. It may surprise you that O'Brien doesn't take insurance, but as as such they're also not bound to preferred treatments and prescriptions that most medical healthcare professionals are contractually obliged to. It may cost you a little more money up front but most insurers will reimburse your costs and as a patient you will enjoy a new-found sense of freedom when it comes to your care. Dr. Jen really, I mean REALLY, listens to her patients and genuinely cares for them. I love being a patient here and will continue with O'brien Medicine as my PCP for as long as they are in business."

"I haven't had a family doctor since my pediatrician... let me add that I am married and 26 years old! Yikes!! I have friends that have been raving about Dr Jen O'Brien and today was the day I got to experience why!! Her business hours on Thursday are listed as 11:30am-7:30pm. I called on my way to work at 8:15am expecting to get a machine and Dr O'Brien answered!! She said that she had a full day but could see me at 11:00. WHAT?! She was going to take me early just to squeeze me in?? Amazing. I am a nanny and Ms Jess and Dr Jen were the sweetest to my two girls while I was filling out paperwork as well as getting my exam. I live on the opposite side of town and will DEFINITELY be back. I can officially say I have a primary physician now! Dr Jen rocks!!"
