"Ultimately I found my wedding dress at a shop in NC where I live but I purchased it from The Gown Shop because I got married in Toledo. I shopped at 3 bridal shops before making me decision and The Gown Shop was the strangest experience I had during the dress finding process. I brought my mom, grandma, and maid and matron of honors to my appointment. When we arrived the stylist brought us straight back to the fitting room before she even introduced herself. I was not offered to view dresses before trying on or shop around. The stylist picked out dresses. I tried them on then asked to try on the dress I had found at another shop. I made my decision to purchase that dress. The only reason I purchased a dress from The Gown Shop is because I didn’t want my now husband to see the dress in transport from NC. When I went to pick up my gown I had my mother-in-law, mom and seamstress come with me. We arrived a few minutes early and had to stand in the rain as the door was locked. When the stylist finally unlocked the door she asked us to stand right inside the door (on the square on the ground) because she was finishing up another appointment. My seamstress owned a local bridal shop and she even felt uncomfortable by this encounter/experience. Not a big deal but the photo of me with The Gown Shop sign was never posted on their social. I wish I had a better experience but I’d recommend other bridal shops in town over The Gown Shop, which is sad because the shop is very nice and they seem to have a good selection of dresses but I didn’t even get a chance to look through them."
