The Grooming Loft by Sophie

"I have been using Sophie as my groomer for my dog, Brody (Breed: Coton de Tulear) since he was old enough to be groomed when she worked at Petco almost 15 years ago! When she departed from Petco, I offered Sophie to come and groom Brody at my house and even bought a grooming table for her so my dog could not be as traumatized and be groomed in the comfort of his own home. She did this for MANY years bringing her tools and was always reliable and throughout the years we have built a friendship that I am very thankful for. Since the 1st day I met Sophie, I knew that she would be my dog’s groomer for the remainder of his life. Sophie is one of the most honest, caring, and kindest people I know, and treats all her pets with the love they deserve and treats them just as she does her daughter, like one of her own. She is a perfectionist with her craft in grooming pets and ALWAYS communicates with the owner of the pet to ensure that your needs and expectations are being met. I am one of those difficult owners that babies my dog and doesn’t want him to have to sit in a cage all day and prefer him to be at the groomer the shortest amount of time possible. Sophie has always accommodated me the best she could when working at Petco and now that she owns her own business, she still tries to consider this and always manages to make this work. I know when my dog is in Sophie's care, he is given the best treatment possible, and she always makes me aware of any potential health issues with my dog that she sees when bathing and grooming him. Just recently my friend’s dog had an appointment with Sophie and almost immediately after I left, she called me to inform me of an issue that the dog had with his anal glands and the area being very red, swollen and painful and asked if I was aware. I was not aware and she made a recommendation to get him a vet appointment scheduled for treatment. The dog was taken to the vet this morning and treated and had she not called me and made me aware, the outcome could have been much worse had action not been taken. I am happy to call Sophie my dog’s groomer for the remainder of his life (she started seeing him at 6+ months and he is almost 15!) and I highly recommend her for any of your grooming needs."

"Sophie and her team always do such a great job! I bring my doodle in every 6 weeks and he always looks and smell fantastic! I bring in my other two dogs (golden and lab mix) whenever they need a good bath or trim and they always look great as well. I’m very comfortable bringing my dogs here and the entire team is always super kind. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a great groomer!"

"I have been with Sophie for over 10 years now. I absolutely love her and trust her with my dog. We first met when I had a Shih Poo that was around 4 years old, and I couldn’t find a groomer that I liked. Once I found Sophie that has been it. I don’t know what I would do without her. As my first dog became older and was sick, Sophie was amazing with her! She also throughout the years let me know if she thought something was wrong with my dog and would mention to me of the situation. At times I didn’t even know there were any issues, but because she knew my dog she could pick up on little things that I would have had no idea about, and yes sometimes I would take my dog to the vet with some of the issues. Because Sophie has been so attentive, those issues were quickly rectified. Now, Sophie grooms our little Morkie since he’s been a puppy, and he absolutely loves her. Because of having to be quarantined during Covid, our dog became terrified of strangers. With Sophie, he’s not afraid at all which gives me such peace of mind that he is loved and cared for. I really don’t know what I would do without her!"
