"After 50 years of marriage my wife and I wanted to deepen our relationship. The time we spent at this marriage retreat was the very best way for us to rekindle our love for one another. I highly recommend couples of any stage in their marriage to invest in this retreat. You will be blessed more than you could ever imagine."

"I definitley recommend Sharon Hicks. She is warm and personal but also very professional. It is obvious that she is highly trained, extremely knowledgable, and passionate about her work. Sharon helped me learn a lot about relationships and myself, in a very short time."

"Sharon's compassionate nature and wealth of experience makes her a highly sought after professional in this field. Her training in Emotion-Focused Therapy provides couples a strong framework to understand conflict, improve communication, and practice new modes of communicating with support in counseling sessions. As a fellow therapist who's collaborated with Sharon in facilitating past couples groups, I was always impressed with the intentional presence and insight that she brought to the process."

"As a therapist myself, I am very picky about who I send friends to for therapy. Sharon is at the top of my list for several reasons. She is warm and kind, making it easy for clients to be open. She has advanced training in emotionally focused couples therapy, which is one of the most effective therapies to improve and repair relationships. It is really common for partners to lash out or withdraw when they feel uncared for in a relationships; Sharon helps couples understand these patterns and work to replace them with more secure ways of interacting. Sharon is also trained in "discernment counseling," which is an approach that helps couples decide whether to separate or pursue relationship repair through therapy. Discernment counseling combines individual and couples sessions to support the couple in arriving at the best decision for themselves. Therapy can be hard work at times, but you can be assured that Sharon is working hard with and for her couples because she truly cares."

"Totally unproductive and outrageously expensive. Spoke to us separately and encouraged dissolution instead of work communication and grass roots approach to understanding one another thru our hurt. I was pregnant at the time and she encouraged separation... disregarded the intensity of my feelings and spoke to us separately instead of encouraging togetherness and effective communication just a shame definitely the opposite of what we needed and were looking for"
