"If I could give zero I would. This company is very unprofessional. I had an appointment scheduled at least 2 weeks before Memorial Day. When I called they booked an appointment for 6pm on Memorial Day. We show up and the receptionist is in shock we are there to see the therapist she was not in the office at all. She stated that maybe she was running late because she lived North. My 10 year old and I sat in that office for 23 minutes nobody showed up or checked on us again.I called the very next day and was told the appointment had been cancelled without my knowledge! I should have received an email or call about it being canceled they then blamed it on a technical problem. So very disappointing the way they handled things."

"Great communication, the front desk staff were very helpful and the therapist was very caring and listened to me. The building was questionable but they said they are moving soon to a permanent location in Vandalia. I would highly recommend them!"

"I couldn't get through so I reached out via their email service to schedule an appointment online. They were prompt in responding and scheduled my daughter an appointment with the counselor we requested. They said they were going to send me paperwork, then never did. When we showed up at the creepy, mostly abandoned building, they asked if I'd filled out paperwork. I'd never received any, so they had me sit there and do it. It was rather extensive, but they waited until I was done, then had us sign in. After signing in, they came out and asked if we were sure we'd wanted an appointment with that particular counselor. They asked who'd scheduled the appointment. I didn't know, since the scheduler never identified themselves. We were told that the counselor lived on the other side of the country and only did telehealth appointments! They asked if we'd like to schedule a telehealth appointment with her at a different time. My daughter said she would, since she'd liked that counselor's profile. They said they'd send me a link. They never did, so I emailed them again and they set up a telehealth appointment for the next Thursday, since we were leaving for vacation the next day. Instead of scheduling her for the next Thursday, they scheduled her for that Thursday and we got the link while we were on vacation, then nothing on the scheduled appointment day. I think we are done with these people. Time to move on."

"I honestly can't speak highly enough of Ray of Light Counseling! My son was referred by his Dr. during the quarantine and he started seeing Angela via video appointments. He was very hesitant to talk at all but Angela was able to get him out of his shell and really engage in the counseling, she has helped him so much. Angela was doing such a great job with my son I started seeing her myself and I can honestly say she has helped me change my life. I have never been able to really open up to a counselor but Angela made it easy, she is truly amazing at what she does. My husband is a disabled veteran and we were getting no where with VA counseling, counselor after counselor and he just wasn't getting anything out of it. I asked if we could get a referral through the VA and we were able to! Now my husband sees Casey and he seems to really like him, getting him to attend appointments was sometimes difficult but he hops right on the video appointments with Casey. When I initially called to set up the appointment Alan made it easy and was so kind and understanding, every time I need a form or have to reschedule Alan is right on it! When I called to set up the appointment for my husband he took the time to talk to me when I explained what all my husband had been through with other counselors. I am so very thankful that I have found Ray of Light Counseling, you can tell that everyone there genuinely cares about helping people. I highly recommend them to anyone!"

"First time I called they said they didn’t take my insurance. Waited a couple weeks and they did! Daughter went to a couple appointments received email confirmations. Then in November she has appointment , gets email confirmation goes to said appointment, arrives 10 minutes early. Calls me and says no one is there. Waits a total of 30 minutes and still nobody showed. Very disappointed. Would not recommend. Even when I called couldn’t get anyone to answer or return calls."
